Manager, IFRS9 Modelling and Reporting

The Position: 

The holder of this position is primarily responsible for the actual running of KCBK and Group subsidiaries’ IFRS 9 Models, collect advances data (Report 1, PR-4, Credit cards, MKCB and Mobi) for model runs, ensure monthly update on Corporate Internal Risk Rating & IFRS9 CBK returns and Calculate model assumptions for Probability of Default, LGD, EAD, cure RATES.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actual Running of KCBK and Group subsidiaries’ IFRS 9 Models.
  • Collect Advances data (Report 1, PR-4, Credit cards, MKCB and Mobi) for model runs.
  • Ensure monthly update on Corporate Internal Risk Rating and IFRS9 CBK returns.
  • Calculate model assumptions.
  • Provide impairment breakdown by Segment, Business line and branch level and Subsidiary level.
  • Data clean up in preparation for model runs.
  • Preparation of off-balance sheet data for Model runs.
  • Support IFRS 9 Technical committee with recommendations for model enhancement.
  • Support Early Alert Committee with Reports and scenario building and stress tests.
  • Offer support in External and Internal Audit engagement with respect to IFRS9 model quality assurance, validation, and accuracy controls.
  • Prepare IFRS 9 Listing for CBK returns.
  • Ensure LGD base data is updated in the core systems and validated.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for model output review.
  • Prepare the sensitivity reports, simulations and scenario building and projections.

The Person:

For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Physics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or any quantitative related fields.
  • CPA(K), CFA or ACCA will be added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling large data sets in Finance, Credit or in as an Actuary on a day-to-day basis in a top tier bank or supporting a top tier bank in Kenya.
  • Minimum of 3 years of working experience in General Banking or Credit Or Credit Risk Management or Finance.
  • Understanding of Credit facilities offered by banks and their risk profiles.
  • Working knowledge of SQL scripting using any tools SQL developer, or any other applicable tools on a day-to-day basis.
  • Experience running Alteryx or any BI tool for IFRS9 modelling is a distinct advantage.

ATM Hardware Engineer

The Position: 

Reporting to the Manager, ATM Hardware Administration, the holder of this position is primarily responsible for the administration of all ATM hardware in line with bank’s business requirements. The role holder will also ensure that ATM operations conform to operational guidelines as per banks requirements and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, documentation and maintenance of ATM hardware assets inventory and management standards as per the bank guidelines.
  • Prepare, advise, and enforce ATM hardware administration specifications and configuration standards.
  • Participate and co-ordinate ATM hardware project implementations and upgrades as necessary.
  • Research on appropriate hardware and software needed to enhance performance of existing equipment which will be achieved by periodic review of available and new technologies in line with best industry practice to support business growth.
  • Carry out daily and periodic reports of ATM services as per business requirements.
  • Facilitate review closure of ATM Audit, Risk and Security related reports as shared by the bank.
  • Closure of calls related to ATM hardware administration as it pertains to banks standards and policy and within given and agreed SLAs.

The Person:

For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT related field or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 years’ experience in IT with operating systems administration (Windows and Linux).
  • Certification in Microsoft administrations, certification in ATM administration will be an added advantage.
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.

Demand Manager

The Position: 

Technology Relationship Management department serve as the linkage between the Technology Division and the rest of the Bank at all levels. The Department foster communication and champion a culture of collaboration, innovation and outcomes between Technology and other teams. It serves as the lead in enabling the Bank to achieve their objectives through the effective use of Technology.

The role holder will work with Business Units Leads, Scrum Masters & Project Managers and applicable Governance bodies (e.g. Strategy, Change) to ensure that the demand pipeline is relevant, appropriate, entirely aligned to the Group’s Strategy. She / He will subsequently facilitate a joint effort to ensure that initiatives/changes/Projects are suitably prioritized, and that resources are duly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Manager Demand Management, in alignment with Change Governance, to develop a suitable Framework and Methodology for prioritizing initiatives & changes to achieve strategic and architectural alignment, as well as execution materiality
  • Play an active role in the Group’s Strategy Planning, evaluation, and workshop engagements, and use its output to facilitate prioritization of the demand pipeline to assigned business divisions.
  • Periodically review the Portfolio mix to report on and assure management on the execution of strategic initiatives and others in view of available capacity.
  • Monitor the progressive delivery plan of business initiatives for the fiscal year with committed delivery timelines and associated resource plans for communication through the divisional relationship managers
  • Support the Senior Demand Manager to provide ways and means to optimize the delivery pipeline providing stakeholder visibility and ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Manage the stakeholders to entrench Agile Change management process and monitoring the performance of change against expected benefits.
  • Collaborate with Change Evaluation Analysts that will assist in validating data for all Group Initiatives

The Person:

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Technology, Statistics, or a related field of study
  • Professional qualification in ITIL Foundation and Project Management (PRINCE2, PRINCE 2 Agile, PMP, SAFe Agile).
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in Technology.
  • 6 years’ experience in at least two IT disciplines such as (Project Management, Service Management, Agile Software Delivery, IT Governance, and IT Support in a multitier environment).
  • 4 years’ experience in Technical and Business Analysis.
  • 3 years’ experience in project management and reporting.
  • Prior working experience in Project Management
