A. Department Of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing And Urban Development

2. Land Surveyor I, JOB GROUP CPSB 08 (1 POST)

Duties And Responsibilities
i. Carrying out large area cadastral, geodetic and mapping control surveys within urban
parcels for leasehold purposes and other Lands owned by County Government. ii. Carrying out preliminary quality control of cadastral surveys.
Supervising small and medium area cadastral, small, medium and high density topographical, site and general Engineering surveys of Country Government
infrastructure. iv. Inspection and verification of land parcel boundaries for development control.
As may be assigned, provide comments on development application in relation to land survey as provided in Section 60 (1) of the Physical and Land use Planning Act 2019 and
any other written Law.
vi.
Any other duties that maybe assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Requirements For Appointment
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen. ii. Hold a Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Land Surveying and
Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geomatic Engineering, Technology in Geomatics, Technology in Geo-informatics, Geo-spatial Engineering, Philosophy in Technology (Survey) from a recognized Institution.
Be a Member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) and in good standing. iv. Have at least five (5) years' working experience.
Certificate in Computer Application. vi. Meets all requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
OR:
Served in the grade of Land Surveyor II, or in a comparable and relevant position in the
Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years.
ii. Diploma in Land Surveying from a recognized Institution.
iii. Affiliate/associate Membership of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) Certificate in Computer Application. a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal
iv. Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60
