A. Department Of Lands, Physical Planning, Housing And Urban Development

6. Land Officer, JOB GROUP CPSB 09 (1 POST)

Duties And Responsibilities
i. Preparing, keeping and updating Land Information Management System (LIMS) for
urban parcels and other Public Land owned by County Government.
ii. Coordinating with National Land Commission on allocation of Land and issuance of
letters of allotment where County Government is the owner/lessor. On behalf of the County Secretary/CECM Finance, be the custodian of all County
Government Land assets.
iv. Conduct due diligence on land proposed for acquisition and ensure that all parcels of land
acquired by the County are duly transferred and registered in the name of the County.
v.Maintain leasehold land rent urban plot ownership cards and where County Government is the lessor and rate ledger cards and issuing annual land rent and rate demand notices and In collaboration with other Stakeholders, carrying out investigations on land cent and rates defaulters.
vi. Facilitating Alternatives Dispute Resolution on Land Administration matters.
vii. Circulating standards forms under land Acts and other relevant legislations for comments by relevant Officers, Scanning; updating data and storing of land correspondence files and related documents for reference purposes.
viii. Receiving and filing memorandum of registration of transfers (MRT) where County Government is the lessor from land registration and Any other duties that maybe assigned by the immediate Supervisor.

Requirements For Appointment
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii. Have a Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Land Economics, Land
Administration, Geography, Real Estate Management, Law or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
iii. Be a Member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) Land Administration Management Chapter.
V. A Certificate in Computer Applications skills from a recognized Institution and Meets all requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
