Duties and Responsibilities.
• Interpret proceedings and any other public meetings in sign language
• Interpret code of ethics and deaf culture among others
• Customer service and complaints handling
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements for Appointment.
• Must be a Kenyan Citizen
• Diploma in Communication, Education or any related field from a recognized institution
• Have a certificate in sign language from a recognized institution
• At least 2 years’ experience in a busy sign language environment
• Good signing and voicing skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Proficiency in computer application.
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Good listening skills.
• Must have proven record of continuous interpretation
Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
