Job description
Job requirements
o Accounting for Supplier invoices
o Posting Bank Transactions on Sage
o Petty cash transactions posting and reconciliations
o Posting AR invoices
o Filing Taxes ( PAYE,VAT,WHT,WHVat)
o Filing Statutories (NHIF,NSSF,NITA,HELB etc.)
o Payroll accounting
o Intercompany Accounting and reconciliations
o Bank Reconciliations
o Accounting for Depreciations/Prepayments/Accruals
o Assisting the Accounting manager on Tax Audits
o Assisting the Accounting manager in Statutory Financial Audits
o An other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor
Profile
Qualification and Skills
o Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a Junior Accountant position
o Degree in finance or Equivalent
o Proficiency in accounting software.
o Must have well knowledge of relevant tax legislation and accounting practices IFRS.
o Ability to analyze data and critical thinking skills
o Strong skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
o Must be computer literate with intermediate MS Office skills.
o Excellent Communication: Verbal and Written
o Planning and Organizing Skills
o Excellent time management skills
o Sense of Urgency
o Flexible
o Service orientated
