Head of Marketing

Key Requirements:

  • Develop and implement the Group Marketing strategies and plans to deliver on Bank plans, objectives, and products.
  • Support Marketing country and business teams with the bank strategy, marketing and business strategies & plans, formulations & operations of events and sponsorships.
  • Co-ordinate and align all marketing activities across the Group.
  • Represent and lead the Marketing function, strategies, and activities at an EXCO, Country and Group Marketing level.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial and effective relationships between GCEO, Business Units, Group Marketing Functions agencies and approved partners/suppliers.
  • Ensure the necessary approvals and processes are followed by Marketing function.
  • Develop and drive sponsorship strategies and ensure events are managed at the highest standard whilst keeping them aligned to overall bank strategy, business initiatives, and brand positioning across the Group.
  • Lead brand management and brand reputation, ensuring oversight on key business projects to safeguard reputation.
  • Ensure compliance to all Group-wide corporate identity standards and visual standards.
  • Manage marketing research programs on brand and sub-brands aligned to specific products.
  • Oversight of public relations and crisis management issues.
  • Represent the company in public forums to improve stakeholder relations and corporate reputation.
  • Work with, communicate, influence, and build consensus among other senior leadership across the group to advance brand and marketing programs.
  • Regularly update governing board committee or senior steering committee on advancement of marketing and brand goals.
  • Provide leadership in representing company values for all employees.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key external stakeholders such as community groups, NGOs, policymakers, media, etc.
  • Develop digital marketing strategies to support brand awareness and launch of digital products.
  • Incorporate different marketing approaches for target audiences that may vary by platform as well as social media analysis into development of all digital marketing campaigns to ensure feedback loops are maintained enabling campaign agility.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Must have a master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with good command of oral and written knowledge of English.
  • A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
  • Ability to balance opposing business requirements.
  • Ability to balance long term and short-term requirements independently.
  • Strong evaluation, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making.
  • Independent and logical thinker, yet an achiever and implementer.
  • Leads by example.
  • Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting.

Group Finance Analyst

Key Requirements:

  • Valuation of current operations.
  • Consolidated forecasting for the Group.
  • Business plans and financial modelling of new business opportunities.
  • Due diligence on new investments.
  • Engagement with investors for debt and equity funding.
  • Other performances data and KPI analysis for operations.
  • Shareholder reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Certified Public Accounting or ACCA Finalist.
  • CFA certification.
  • Highly computer literate.
  • Previous experience in agriculture is an added advantage.
  • Self-confident and conscientious.
  • Good analytical and written skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise.
  • Able to act independently and take responsibility.
  • Highly organised.
  • Sound integrity.

 

Marketing Coordinator

Key Requirements:

  • Assist the Marketing Consultant and any agencies employed with the implementation of the company’s brands and their strategies
  • Work with the Marketing Consultant and sales team to ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals
  • Work with the Marketing Consultant to prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program and campaign success
  • Work with the sales team to provide market research, competitive analyses and consumer trends
  • Closely oversee campaigns with any agencies from inception to completion to ensure return on investment.
  • Support on packaging development, campaigns, including the development of briefing documents, ownership & deliverables and oversee execution
  • Manage, maintain and develop internal tools, including company websites, social media and online presence, print and conventional media.
  • Manage, maintain and grow all social media channels, websites and online presence
  • Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion
  • Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements
  • Continually manage partnerships and create content for all the digital channels

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Communications or Media Relations
  • Must have good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels
  • Good analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proactive and punctual
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Some graphic design experience is an added advantage
  • Flexible to travel across different counties.
  • Passion for Farming is an added advantage

 

Regional Accountant (East Africa)

Key Requirements:

  • Develop all internal controls and policies designed to ensure that all financial compliance requirements are met.
  • Ensure accounting and reporting records are maintained for Kenya, Tanzania and Mauritius.
  • Management of Transfer Pricing and Policy and intergroup billing.
  • Tracking payments and processing invoices.
  • Tax filing and processing tax payments.
  • Management of audit preparations and processes.
  • Liaising with local revenue authorities.
  • Liaising with the company’s bankers.
  • Reconciliations including, but not limited to, bank accounts, debtors, creditors, intercompany and other balance sheet receivables, and payables.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets and budget revisions.
  • Payroll management.
  • Monthly and annual management reporting.
  • Comply with the Finance Manual.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have a CPA(K).
  • Must 5 years’ experience as an accountant serving at least three East African countries.
  • Must be registered with Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit.
  • Familiar with QuickBooks.
  • Excellent command of English (Spoken & Written).
  • Must have an Impeccable integrity, diligence and confidentiality.
  • Should have high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Should be organized, accurate and detail oriented.

 

Health & Safety Advisor

Key Requirement:

  • Work alongside the HSES Manager to define, maintain and implement the HSES Management system to enable compliance with the groups HSES standards
  • Monitor compliance HSES Management System, and provide additional internal training and coaching to improve understanding and guide staff
  • Collate information and generate reports on the effectiveness of the HSES Management System, working alongside the HSES Manager to identify and document lessons learned and continuously improve the HSES Management System
  • Lead the regular review and update of Emergency Response Plans for three office locations, and its Crisis Management Plan, alongside its Operations team and HSES resources in each location.
  • Undertake HSES due-diligence site visits for new opportunities within East & Southern sub-Saharan Africa
  • Assess potential HSES risks, identify risk mitigants and evaluate existing (or planned) HSES Management Systems as part of DD activities, documenting findings and reviewing recommendations with the HSES Manager
  • Work alongside the HSES Manager to develop HSES Action Plans for new opportunities within East & Southern sub-Saharan Africa
  • Collate and analyse information from project HSES Action Plans or HSES Management Systems, to generate HSES monitoring reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) to track progress and review trends on an individual project and portfolio basis
  • Ensure sound evidence underpins all internally or externally reported monitoring data and ensure that all such data points are accurate, up-to-date and can withstand scrutiny
  • Support the HSES Manager with the investigation, documentation and resolution of any HSES incidents within East & Southern Africa’s portfolio
  • Regularly participate in Group HSES meetings
  • Identify HSES training requirements, tools and assets for the Africa staff and its partners to enable all to understand and operate within the standards and frameworks

Qualifications

  • Have a degree in a science or engineering. It would also be highly desirable if you have an advanced degree / qualification (post-graduate) in the HSES sciences or other relevant discipline highly desirable (e.g. IEMA, NEBOSH or IOSH)
  • Have 3-5 years of relevant HSES or ESG experience across multiple types of infrastructure projects at different stages of development
  • Have worked in a variety of sub-Sahara African markets, with a focus on East & Southern Africa
  • Have a robust understanding of the latest best practices in Health, Safety, Environmental and Social management and IFC Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability
  • Understand how infrastructure supports achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the global climate agenda
  • Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a virtual international team
  • Be recognized by others as demonstrating integrity and professionalism
