Global Talent Acquisition Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

Role Purpose:

The role holder will partner with the business to ensure best practice recruitment and the sourcing and selection of high calibre talent that supports the delivery of our organisational strategy.  The Global Talent Acquisition Business Partner will manage both UK and international recruitment campaigns for a variety of business functions, including interim and permanent, and up to mid-senior level; ensuring recruitments highlight alignment to our mission and values, follow Talent Acquisition best practice (policy and process adherence), and our Reward principles.

This role will also support / lead on projects linked to continuous improvement initiatives and the building of tools, templates, trainings etc. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Essentials

  • Significant experience of recruiting across a range of functions at all levels and including interim staff, ideally in an international and complex environment
  • A demonstrable track record of sourcing, attracting, and recruiting staff across different geographies
  • A demonstrable ability to add value and influence hiring managers to ensure appropriate JD’s, recruitment strategies, best practice, process and policy adherence
  • A demonstrable passion and drive to connect with and secure high calibre talent
  • Proven experience of, and commitment to, ensuring an excellent candidate experience

Global Communications Officer

Role Purpose:

The Global Communications Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the Global Communications and Engagement team collaboration/function.

This role will work closely with the Global Communications and Engagement Director and Planning and Strategy Lead to: support the Global Comms and Engagement team function and delivery (including coordinating team meetings), support global planning strategy and delivery, lead the team’s internal communications (OneNet, Weekly Newsletter) and support global moment activations. They will be responsible for managing, planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating such projects. They will also project manage, when required, on clusters, key external engagements, cross-member projects and communications toolkits.

During emergencies, this role will provide critical support in coordinating the team’s key response roles  This post holder will also provide administrative support to the planning and strategy team and wider department for finance, procurement and the team meetings.

Essentials

  • Previous experience of working in communications

Global Digital Trends and Insights Manager

This role sits within the Global Communications Unit, under the Global Digital Engagement Team, a virtual team, which provides strategic support and specialist technical guidance to our 27+ Members, most of them in Asia, Oceania, Europe and the Americas. This team also focuses on reaching out to new audiences and engaging with them in non-member markets with a special focus on a list of key markets, and our global Save the Children International digital channels.

This is a new role at our global centre, Save the Children International, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape and grow how we ustilse digital insights across social listening, search listening, SEM and SEO, to help us scale up our digital campaigns, content and experience in order to attract, inspire and engage a higher volume of supporters, who are critical to achieve our ambitions for children.

We are looking for someone who has their finger of the pulse of what’s happening in the digital sphere, can manage and acquire the most effective tools to help us monitor online conversations, support key stakeholders in making strategic, informed and insight based decisions and can play a lead role in key projects such as audience insights and new markets testing. A pro-active attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment is essential.

There is a need across our movement to monitor online conversations and key words related to priority operational issues, specific humanitarian crises, and security or reputational incidents. We would like to improve and develop similar approaches across the movement to collect digital insights to improve our impact using social listening, search listening, SEO and content marketing insights.

In coordination with the Communications and Engagement team, Fundraising Hub, Global Campaigns, and other SCI departments, the post is responsible for leading on,

  • Coordinate and maintain the collective use of the shared insights and listening tools, across the Save the Children movement. Support members in building confidence to use insights tools, providing a community and space for skill-sharing and best practice
  • Working with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for insight report/dashboard production, ensuring insights will be utilized to inform strategy and content planning
  • Promoting the benefits and possibilities of insights tools and reports to key stakeholders
  • Producing insightful reports that are used for campaign and strategy development across the movement
  • Use insights data on a regular basis to inform digital team and NMM project content marketing planning to generate quality content that engages audience and provides them with valuable information
  • Managing existing and acquiring new insights tools that will further our global trends and insight strategy
  • Managing of contracts and supplier relationships for all trends and insights tools
  • Working closely integrated with the Global brands team and Audience segmentation project lead to provide insights for defined audiences
  • Leading on external current affairs and trends, ensuring Save the Children is ready to react in both trending and emergency situations
  • Working closely with global digital partners such as META and TikTok to capture campaign and audience insights

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Demonstrable high level knowledge and at two years of experience working within a marketing, communications or digital department focused on engaging audiences to take action.
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills would be an asset
  • Capacity to build and maintain excellent relations and to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment respecting diversity
  • Experience in management/use of trends and insights tools (e.g. Meltwater, Google Trends, , content marketing, Search listening or social listening tools)

Desirable

  • Experience in the profit or non-profit sector (ideally both at client and agency side).
  • Experience working internationally in a support role to a diverse range of markets
  • Senior experience developing successful communications strategies
  • Experience optimizing content and messaging for external audiences
  • Experience implementing a known insights tool analysing the data provided by this tool.
  • Proven project management skills delivering complex projects on time and on budget with a strong knowledge of all the financial aspects of digital fundraising/marketing including analysis of costs/income, ROI, conversion and donor/client retention data and all other relevant KPIs.
  • Strong personal, organisational and self-management skills; with an ability to lead and work in teams and motivate others
  • A self-starter using initiative to see opportunities to achieve objectives in this role
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft products
  • Ability to articulate the work of Save the Children with passion
  • A willingness to travel to support members directly or to relevant events as required.
