Warehouse Reporting Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder is responsible for developing and managing data models that monitor production performance levels, and efficiency of all warehouse functions, while ensuring all teams are properly staffed by maintaining staff scheduling models.

Key Job Functions

Developing data tools to monitor and report on the performance indicators and efficiency of processes of the warehouse and logistics department
Understand processes of each team within the warehouse, and identify health indicators to measure process efficiency
Provide Warehouse performance data, to facilitate team leaders with the information required to hold performance discussions and a custodian of all performance data
Real-time monitoring of SLAs, communication of deviations from SLAs, and impact analysis of deviations
Being a link to the BI team on useful reports that can be automated to help create visibility
Conducting data mining activities on an ad hoc basis, such as collecting and organizing data from multiple sources in order to identify patterns or other useful information
Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy
Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout
Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports
Create business reports that provide insight into key data points
Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form and by creating visualizations
Suggest areas of improvement from the data analyzed
Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends
Operate as the subject matter expert on staff scheduling practices using proper staffing models
Meet with management to review staffing models and to make improvements on future staffing forecasts

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

Degree in a related field
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
One to three years of experience as a financial or business analyst
Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
Ability to use SQL and Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to co-workers
Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
General knowledge of warehouse operations, objectives, strategies, processes, and information flow

Senior Lead - Quality Assurance

Key Job Functions

Responsible for all Product Quality related matters
Establish inspection, measurement, and test plans including acceptance criteria of incoming components and finished goods
Ensure high standards of product quality by inspecting input and output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining the functionality
Checking that the assembly line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements
Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database
Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans, that can be used to determine the causes of product defects and reworks
Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs to ensure that assembly processes meet required standards
Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and develop discard methods for any that do not meet requirements
Maintaining documentation of systems installed and maintenance procedures
Evaluating operational systems processes and workflows and recommending modifications to increase productivity
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data, and periodically reviewing the effectiveness of established quality improvement plans
Writing technical reports and keeping up to date with developments in smartphone technology
Ability to read schematics and PCBA board layouts with experience and ability to analyze and debug electronics at a PCB level, with strong knowledge of electrical wiring
Take lead and work with the business and team at the warehouse to develop a Kaizen Charter
Guides team through the Kaizen process, by coaching and educating team members on the application of Kaizen principles
Is the subject matter expert in Kaizen, and helps the team to work together efficiently and effectively
Training the production team on Kaizen 6S and quality control measures to improve product excellence
Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
Ensures proper time management at work and in meetings
Responsible for all Safety and Health Related activities on the assembly floor.
Take lead in getting M-KOPA ISO certified in ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001
Ensure adherence to set safety, health, and environmental standards in all areas of the warehouse
Lead the OSHE committee at the warehouse
Track progress on OSHE indicators like the number of days without Lost-Time-Accident, Near-misses, etcetera
Write any necessary OSHE incident report required
Drive the Environmental agenda

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

Degree in BEng/BSc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering/Physics or related field
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Certification in quality control is preferred.
C1 Electrical License from ERC
First Aid & Safety Certificate will be an added advantage
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Keen attention to detail
Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications
Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers
In-depth understanding of company standards
Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices
Understanding of target market and consumer needs
Blueprint reading capabilities
Documentation and reporting skills
Teamwork and collaboration
Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time


Assembly Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

The job holder determines structural, engineering, and process requirements for the assembly of new smartphones on the assembly line, troubleshoots, conducts smartphone repairs and reworks, and implements process improvements to increase output on the assembly line.

Key Job Functions

Main activities that are undertaken by the jobholder and are reflective of the most important features of the job

Testing & Repair of mobile devices

Inspecting electrical components during and after the product installation
Replace parts and repair faults of mobile phones.
Deconstruct mobile devices in order to analyze faults, perform the replacement or recycle parts
Apply the information, such as periodic maintenance charts, step-by-step repair instructions/manuals, troubleshooting information, and overhaul procedures to perform routine maintenance and repairs

Maintain equipment

Undertake Test, Repair, Inspection, and Maintenance on a range of Mechanical equipment and accessories and ensure they are in functional order prior to or after use.
Ensure that equipment is being maintained in an energy-efficient and safe manner, and downtime is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs, keeping records of past operating experience
General fault finding and repair to Electrical systems, sanity ware, and drainage.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts in all assembly lines on all associated electrical equipment, general fault finding, and repairs to electrical assets and services
Maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems

Process Improvement & Creating solutions to problems

Provide technical and engineering skills to resolve operational issues, while meeting objectives of lowering cost and/or improving productivity
Solve problems that arise in planning, prioritizing, organizing, directing/facilitating action, and evaluating performance.
Use systematic processes of collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information to evaluate current practice and generate new understandings about practice.
Develops and maintains specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies
Explore new technology solutions to be able to provide solutions out of the box
Analyzes and develops resolutions for problems involving availability and/or performance at the system level
Conduct regular training of assembly line workers as needed.
Actively promote process improvement to ensure compliance with industry standards and Regulations
Identification of subsequent changes to manufacturing and assembly drawings as necessary

Documentation

The identification and/or generation of all documentation related to the integration of new products into the production environment.
Generate and implement operating procedures and work instructions
Maintain written records of all repairs and maintenance interventions undertaken, including information on the parts and materials used, etc.
The identification and/or generation of all documentation related to the integration of new products into the production environment
Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.

Upholding Safety

Ensure all safe systems of work are employed for workshop-based tasks to ensure high standards of health & safety in the workplace are maintained
Design, optimize and ensure processes meet requirements for standards, safety, and datelines

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS & COMPETENCIES/ LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION REQUIRED

Degree in BEng/BSc. in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
At least 1 year in electrical engineering/fault analysis/repair operations ideally working on cellular mobile devices
Experience working with mobile devices.
Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
Good skill in CAD
Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge
Able to work under pressure and tight datelines
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Hands-On experience working with embedded systems
Well versed with the various systems, tools, and procedures used in testing & failure analysis
