Dashboard Engineer

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Dashboard Engineer to lead the development of data systems (Data, Dashboards, and Analytics) with 5 years of proven experience in creating enterprise-level systems dashboards using various technology and data sources. You will discover ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. The goal is to ensure that informative dashboards that drive action are available to various stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Engineering, IT, Data science, or a related field
  • 5 years of hands-on experience and strong knowledge about the design and development of dashboards using tools such as Superset, Tableau, PowerBI, Angular, Qlikview, Qliksense, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in query and reporting tools as well as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and CouchDB database technologies
  • Comfortable with advanced analytics tools such as Advanced SQL, Pandas, R, etc.
  • Scripting proficiency in python etc. is desirable
  • Basic Linux skills
  • Ability to take lead in the data synthesis process, solution design, and creation of actionable insights, implications, and recommendations to address the program/business issues
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to structure & solve business problems, innovating, where required

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and maintenance of user-friendly, visually intuitive, and customizable dashboards (as well as automated reports, presentations, reporting templates, etc.), which are robust, reliable, scalable, and dynamic by querying, processing, and analyzing the underlying data (program as well as internal) using tools or combination of tools such as Klipfolio, Superset, Tableau, Angular, PowerBI, Qlikview, Qliksense, etc.
  • Provide dashboard views that reflect KPIs as identified by the involved stakeholders to support effective program delivery and execution as well as decision-making within the organization through easy-to-consume, insightful, actionable, data-driven insights and identifying the key themes and patterns from the dataset.
  • Work with GSE engineers and other stakeholders to design, develop and establish a reliable and robust data infrastructure including a data pipeline and data warehousing solution with a view to realizing the organizational vision around data use for informed and timely decision making
  • Work with other health teams and designers to understand, clarify and document partner data analysis and reporting needs. Provide guidance and insight on data visualization options for dashboard design.
  • Work with the support and M&E teams to enhance data collection structures and procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
  • Building/developing component-based web apps to integrate multiple sources of metrics/tools
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades, etc.)
  • Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications.

Senior Manager - System and Security Administration

The Opportunity

Living Goods is seeking a Senior Manager – System and Security Administration profile to join our Digital Transformation (DT) team. We believe that technology is an increasingly powerful and positive disruptive force in enabling Living Goods to provide effective community health service and drive impact.

As the Senior Manager – System and Security Admin, you will be a part of the Digital Health Department and will report to the Director (Digital Transformation) unit. You will be tasked with the following:

  • Development/refinement and implementation of the Internal IT Roadmap to provide for the following:
    • Standardization of internal IT systems and tools across the organization
    • Enable a secure, safe, and high performing IT environment for LG staff across offices
  • Provide ownership for the overall management of the administration of access and security controls for Microsoft platforms - Office365 and EMS E5 including Intune, Defender (O365, Endpoint, and Identity), Azure Active Directory P2, Azure Information Protection, and Governance, OneDrive, Teams, and Share-point and all other platforms as per the signed off organizational governance controls.
  • Overall ownership and management of the global system administration team and setting up all necessary system administration structures and processes to ensure internal IT support to staff across various LG offices and branches on software and hardware aspects (laptops, emails, connectivity, etc.) including institutionalizing and refining the helpdesk structure for internal IT troubleshooting (L1, L2, etc.). This would also include ownership of day-to-day operational management of the system admin function.
  • Responsible for organizational-wide IT assets security including determining the right technologies, developing all IS governance and security policies, and knowledge and right skillsets to work with all LG technologies and digital systems so that security delivery is current, procedurally documented, and in compliance with organization standard as well as alignment with ISO 27001 and NIST CSF security controls.
  • Responsible for driving organizational-wide Cyber security, IS risk management framework, and security awareness program including working closely with compliance and internal audits to determine necessary risk management and training programs.
  • Coaching and mentorship to the System Admin team – technical growth recommendations as well soft skills growth.
  • Management, guidance, and oversight of all administration and security configurations by the System Administrators, tech partners, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identification of required technologies and development of implementation roadmaps including training plans for all LG staff to ensure that overall org-wide IT security mitigates all cyber risks and sufficiently protects critical organizational IT information
  • Ensuring timely and sufficient resourcing from System Administration to drive all necessary fraud and cyber-attack investigations.
  • Supporting internal finance, compliance, and any other business/program leaders in drafting appropriate key messaging in regard to such incidents and investigations.
  • Ensuring resourcing from Systems and Security teams to drive timely and accurate response on all forensic, internal, and external audits.
  • Ownership of drafting and contextualizing management reports including final audit scores, overall IS risk ratings, and post audits recommendations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other technology-related degree
  • 10+ years of professional work experience in the capacity of internal system security and IT admin roles for a medium to a large organization with multiple offices is essential
  • 05+ years of professional experience in team management in a system admin function which is supporting an organization with offices in different locations is essential
  • Professional certification in System and Security Administration and governance
  • Essential security governance certification: CISSP, CISSM, CISM
  • Desirable security technical certifications: CCNA, CompTIA certifications, relevant Microsoft Administration and Security certification tracks
  • Hands-on experience in leading and implementing at least 02 projects for organization-wide system security and cyber security measures, protocols, and tools

Other Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to engage all levels of technical and non-technical stakeholders in the design and rollout of diverse security work plans.
  • Demonstrate and articulate ability to design and roll out organization-wide security policies while working with multiple technical and non-technical teams that are distributed across diverse locations including internal and external auditors.
  • Must possess good working knowledge and understanding of initial system set-up, configuration, and progressive enhancement/strengthening of multiple enterprise and open-source policy, access, user administration, and security systems such as Microsoft Azure-based systems
  • Must have experience in end-to-end security systems operations including the ability to design and implement proactive vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, surveillance, and loss prevention policies that proactively identify and mitigate cyber security risks.
  • Well-experienced in org-wide security risk identification and progressive implementation of recommendations to support building compliance culture and maturity.
  • Well-skilled in leveraging diverse security tools to timely identify threats/intrusions and coordinate cross-functional mitigation plans to minimize cyber security risks and/or loss. Should demonstrate the ability to identify the incident’s root cause and drive implementation of work plans.
  • Demonstration of prior robust incident management skills to support the system administration team and other stakeholders respond quickly and effectively in emergencies. The desired candidate should be able to leverage their thorough understanding of the security tools and protocols for the organization, as well as knowing how to effectively handle various types of stakeholders while managing emergencies
  • Ability and experience designing and rolling out fit-for-purpose robust cyber security staff awareness programs that effectively build alertness across all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and deal with shifting priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to find a solution in conflicting situations including having an outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work under time pressure
