4. Property Management Firm
KCCB wishes to engage an outstanding, dynamic and results oriented property management firm to manage its properties that are held for purposes of generating revenue to further its Pastoral activities.

Key Responsibilities:
I. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of assigned, retail and/or commercial properties to satisfy the requirements of the landlords/owners and tenants, to preserve and increase the value of the properties and to meet the financial objectives or the landlord and management.
II. Under the supervision of the General Secretary, the PM shall be tasked with the execution of the following duties:

III. Represent the company in the day-to-day management, oversight and coordination of operations, maintenance, administration and improvement of assigned properties.
IV. Build strong landlord and tenant relations through regular communication to ensure needs are gratified & concerns and/or
disputes are amicably resolved.
iii. Ensure tenant lease requirements are fulfilled and upheld, in accordance with the landlords’ specifications and company rules and regulations.
iv. Direct & coordinate activities related to tenants moving in, relocating or vacating the premises.
v. Identify weak and/or in-default tenants and coordinate appropriate action with other departments to ensure financial and insurance obligations are met.
vi. Inspect grounds, facilities and equipment routinely to ensure vendor contract fulfilment, adherence to property standards and to determine necessity of repairs or maintenance in coordination with property staff teams
vii. Investigate complaints, disturbances and violations and resolve problems in accordance with management rules and regulations.
viii. Cultivate open and positive communication and knowledge sharing with internal company stakeholders including, but not limited to leasing, accounting and project management.
ix. Build relationships with local authorities and work with them to ensure property compliance and response during local emergency situations.
x. Prepare detailed budget, variance and financial reports for assigned properties.
xi. Perform property inspections ano due diligence for potential new business as required.
xii. Ensure all new tenant and transitioning property lease files are complete and accurate and include current, relevant documents.

More detailed and specific roles and deliverables will be discussed once engaged.

A detailed and Comprehensive Company profile that should highlight amongst others:
• The current client base, the size of the properties being managed and location of those properties.
• Number of years in the field of property management
• Letters of reference from at least five current clients
Copies of all statutory compliance documents
and licenses
• Evidence of excellent marketing skills that translate to high occupancy levels.
• Audited financial reports for the last 5 years (Balance sheet, Cash flow statement, Profit and Loss Statement, etc.]

The KCCB - General Secretariat (KCCB-GS) is the national administrative, facilitative and coordinative arm through which the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops implement and co-ordinates various Pastoral programs at the national level and undertake all those responsibilities which express the mission of the Catholic Church in Kenya.
It is seeking outstanding, dynamic and results oriented individuals & Firm to fill the following key position:-

1. Legal And Civil Affairs Officer

Overall Purpose of the Job
The Legal Services function is responsible for providing legal advice to KCCB - GS and affiliated institutions and ensure compliance with legal requirements, advising on legal matters, overseeing legal affairs of KCCB - GS, mitigating legal risks against KCCB as well as implementing good corporate governance to enhance organizational credibility.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify emerging legal issues affecting KCCB-GS for compliance
• Frame legal issues for external professional intervention and advice on corrective action.
• Negotiate, draft, review and vet the documents and third party contracts
• Attest/witness KCCB documents
• Conduct research, and, provide legal opinions on matters affecting the KCCB -GS and its affiliated institutions
• Handle litigation and disputes involving KCCB and ensuring all parties' satisfaction
• Ensuring elaborate legal risk assessment and management
• Ensure security documents are properly kept, secured and archived
• Carry out legal audit to ensure KCCB-GS’s legal compliance.
• Liaise with external lawyers on all legal matters involving KCCB-GS to ensure they are handed promptly.
• Advising the General Secretary on the Key governance and compliance issues of the KCCB-GS.
• Interpret KCCB’s, terms and conditions of service, collective agreements and other documents that are legally binding.

Minimum qualifications, skills & experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Law [LLB] from a recognized institution.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Law with current practicing certificate
• Member LSK
• Advocate of the H igh Cou rt of Kenya.
• Masters’ degree in relevant field is an added advantage

• 7 -8 years working experience in legal practice in the Public Service or Private Sector

Job grade and remuneration
The position will be placed at Job grade 9 with an entry salary of Kshs. 2,783,004 per year.

2. Resource Mobilization Officer

Overall Purpose of the Job
This position, is responsible for writing and submitting proposals, grant applications, and program reports to potential partners and identifies prospective corporate and foundation donors. This role will require someone who is a self-starter and a team player, who is willing to write and submit proposals as well as research and identify both local and international organizations and KCCB prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Developing, implementing and monitoring fundraising strategies that include yearly targets to meet the financial needs of KCCB.
• Identifying and seizing fundraising opportunities; diversification of funding streams for KCCB and establishing value-adding contacts and relationships for the benefit of the organization.
• Conducting research on potential donors/ partners and finding a match with partners whose funding criteria match the organization’s vision and activities;
• Developing, managing and updating corporate contacts and maximizing the relationships for the benefit of KCCB;
• The officer will also be expected to understand key focus areas and interests of various potential partners; understand project monitoring and evaluation systems mat ensure impact and effectiveness of the organization’s programmatic work;
• Work closely with Commissions/offices for purposes of conceptualization, planning, writing, reviewing, communication and submission of the relevant documents for targeted resource mobilization initiatives. To be done in compliance with KCCB and funder/ I donor guidelines.
• Developing annual work plans based on the approved strategy together with revenue and ! expenditure budgets for each fundraising initiatives;
• Developing and coordinating web-based fundraising and any other resource mobilization strategies;
• Being current and up to date with available fundraising initiatives and legal issues affecting corporate fundraising;
• Ensuring all partners receive appropriate and ' timely reports and updates;
• Sensitizing and training other staff members on fund raising skills and strategy in order to I build an effective fundraising team.
• Develop and/or update KCCB - GS Awards Manual in compliance with KCCB policies.
• Compliment resource mobilization strategies of KCCB Commissions.

Minimum qualifications, skills & experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies;
Social Sciences or related field from a recoenized Universitv.
• Post graduate qualification in relevant field where appropriate (Project Management)
• Masters’ degree is an added advantage
• Possession of additional programme & resource mobilization trainings will be an added advantage.
• 6 years’ experience in programming and fundraising for related organizations, Civil Society Organizations/NGOs.
• Proven proposal writing skills and evidence of successful resource mobilization initiatives undertaken
• Demonstrable ability to develop relationships and networks that are of value to organization fundraising initiatives
• Demonstrable coordination skills and understanding of non-governmental project management cycle
• Proven ability to work and deliver within strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
• Proven self-drive and ability to play a leadership role within an organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle the pressure
• Competence in common IT applications.

Job grade and remuneration
The position will be placed at Job grade 8 with an entry salary of Kshs. 1,906,176 per year.

3. Properties, Institutions & Investment Officer

Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the administration of KCCB Properties, Investment and Institutions to ensure they are properly managed and maintained and that they are run efficiently and profitably.

Duties and Responsibilities
a) Properties Management
• Maintain proper updated records with regard to KCCB properties
• Work with the Property Manager to achieve occupancy goals, and maintain in-depth knowledge of the market drivers In liaison with the Legal and Civil Affairs Officer and the Property Manager, facilitate the negotiation, preparation and enforcement of lease agreements for all tenants
• Ensure that the inspection of KCCB rental properties is conducted within the KCCB Policies and an inspection record is maintained and updated.
• Advice on appropriate rental rates by conducting market research and advising KCCB on the same.
• Facilitate renewal of land leases and ensure payment of land rates are up to date.
• In liaison with the Legal and Civil Affairs Officer, ensure contracts of service providers are properly drawn, are current and implement a sound review process to ensure the service level agreements are effective.
• Manage occupancy of the properties so that the property yields rent consistently Work with the Property Manager to develop and implement appropriate mechanisms to mitigate on defaulters.
• Review tenant issues referred to KCCB by the Property Manager and advise the General Secretary appropriately In Liaison with the Property Manager
• Identify areas for maintenance and repairs of minor works on the buildings and movable assets and update the General Secretary on the same.
• In Liaison with the Property Manager prepare monthly reports and update the General Secretary on emerging issues
• Ensure that yearly budgets for the KCCB properties are done in line with projections and monitor adherence to these projections.

b] Institutions & Investments Management
• Monitor the implementation and compliance of policies and the general management of the KCCB Institutions.
• Identify opportunities for making institutions self-reliant.
• Advice the General Secretary on emerging issues in Institutions of KCCB.
• Ensure KCCB Institutions are operating with clear, structured and cost- effective systems and procedures.
• Advise the General Secretary on emerging market driven investment trends.
• Provide the necessary technical support in the identification of KCCB-GS investment projects.
• Provide regular updates on the status of the Institutions.

Minimum qualifications, skills & experience
• Bachelor’s Degree - Business Management or related field (Finance and Accounting]
• MBA an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years’ experience on similar job
