Roving Supply Clerk

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  

  • At least one to one and a half years of experience in a supply management position utilizing inventory database software is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Must be proficient in the general use of inventory database software; good working knowledge of MS Word and basic knowledge of MS Excel.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Level III English (Good working knowledge, reading, writing, speaking), (This may be tested).

Electrical Maintenance Worker

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operation  (50% of time)                                                                                                                                     

  • Repairs malfunctioning electrical systems and ensures that all tasks are completed in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturers’ recommendations
  • Plans the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, including drawing preliminary sketches and making cost estimates for materials and services
  • Monitors and inspects generator equipment to detect problems; controls generator output; installs standby generators and ensures operational condition in emergencies.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures
  • Responds to emergency calls during off-duty hours when critical systems stop functioning or when there is an imminent threat to the safety of personnel or structural integrity
  • Assists in developing and executing testing and inspection checklists to ensure quality work by contractors and staff.
  • Contributes to the safety program managed by the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (FM).

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and components experience as an electrical apprentice or installer is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Maintenance and repair of power and lighting circuits associated with switchboards and control gear in single-phase and polyphase systems.
  • Minor component replacement and repairs of motors, generators, controls, and recording instruments.
  • Electrical testing procedures in circuitry and control devices to monitor, diagnose faults, determine continuity, insulation resistance, impedance and capacity levels, all in accordance with US and host country regulations.
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, control circuits and material list

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required and/or completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing journeyman level technicians with a concentration in electrical principles and applications is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: 

English level II (Limited knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.

Kiswahili level III (Good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:   

  • At least 5 years of work experience with the Government of Kenya, public health institutions, or international NGOs/donor agencies in public health practices such as program design, implementation and evaluation, community intervention, public health management, delivery, or operational research. Minimum of four years’ experience above must be in HIV/AIDS, STI, TB, Malaria, or related infectious disease field. 
  • Additionally, 4 years of management experience is also required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:  

The job holder must have knowledge of the principles of public health planning, implementation, and evaluation of HIV/STI/TB prevention programs; knowledge of the methods, process, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health programs; knowledge of key players in HIV/AIDS program implementation in Kenya, knowledge of principles of quality management systems for medical laboratories, health programs economic evaluation design concepts, knowledge of key principles for private public partnerships, knowledge of management concepts and practices used by organizations engaged in international health or health related endeavors. As a senior LE Staff in the office, must be thoroughly familiar with the USG/FSN employment system and with PEPFAR guidelines, practices, and the current Country Operational Plan process.

Education Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in Medicine, or Laboratory Sciences, or Public Health, or Health Systems Management or another related medical field is required

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: 

  • Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required
  • Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing of Swahili is required.
