Job Summary

The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the front- and back-end of the company's website, web applications. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in web development, programming, as well as a deep understanding in building RESTful Services, web applications and maintaining them.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications and mobile applications that meet user requirements and adhere to design standards.
• Create and maintain databases for web applications and mobile applications.
• Develop, test, and deploy web applications and mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug web applications and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of applications.
• Ensure the security and performance of web applications.
• Monitor and track web application and mobile application usage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with developing REST APIs and programming Java, Springboot, Go or any other languages
• Proven experience with web development and programming, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Knowledge of application performance and monitoring
• Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Proficient in database design and development.
• Experience with mobile application development.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• E-commerce experience is an added advantage.

About The Role

The VP of Engineering - Wasoko Commerce Platform will own the core platform infrastructure that powers Wasoko commerce. You will own core order, customer and item workflows along with payment infrastructure. You will also own seamless integration with our third party logistics management systems that power our warehousing and last mile routing. Your portfolio will also include engineering teams for select product streams for tools and services built on top of the core commerce platform - namely mobile apps, financial services and public API gateway.

This is a very critical role where you will have the opportunity to shape core technology strategy at the most senior levels. This role will report to the CTO. You will also partner closely with a range of product and business leaders in this role. Additionally, this role will also act as the most senior leader of Wasoko’s India engineering center. The leader will represent the brand of Wasoko and share our passion for transforming the fastest growing continent in the world. You will be key to attract and manage some of the best talent for Wasoko.

You are someone who has had experience building full cycle products in a fast paced, highly dynamic digital product environment. You hold strong product and engineering instincts that help you get to the heart of the problem quickly. You have a natural aptitude to deal with ambiguity when market conditions evolve quickly. Agile comes naturally to you. You are used to breaking down big ideas into small testable pilots to gradually form your grand technology plan. To defend against such rapid rate of change, you also embrace best of software reliability engineering principals across monitoring, alerting, and test-driven continuous release management. Requirements:

• 15 years of product development experience
• Experience leading engineering teams of 50+ people
• Deep experience in B2B, Payments and/or Consumer ecommerce
• Experience building distributed engineering systems that scale rapidly in cloud env
• Passion for software reliability engineering and familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Expert at driving root causing and process improvement on production issues
• Self starter and self driven - ability to get into weeds and problem solve
• Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering or analytical discipline
• Travel up to 20% required

• Full life cycle product experience that drove mass adoption in startup env.

About The Role

Lead a team of replenishment experts both for commodities and non-commodities to provide required inputs to the Procurement Head and support in developing and deploying replenishment strategies and tactics across all hubs to support the business achieve the targets

It is a key role within the Procurement department where you will partner with internal stakeholders to understand the business requirements in terms of inventory planning and work closely with the Head of procurement to set key metrics to closely monitor and optimize the inventory.

About You

You are someone who has Prior experience in inventory management and DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning), ideally in an E-commerce environment or adjacent industry like FMCG.To perform well in this role you need to have advanced planning and communication skills and previous and must be well versed with software packages including Microsoft Office, and specifically MS Excel and ERP systems. You need to demonstrate abilities to effectively coach and lead team members in an international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing sales forecasts, market trends for all categories and align them with the supply in different geographies
• Understand business requirement and highlights potential risks in terms of supply, stock aging and identify opportunities through continuous follow up with the market
• Manage replenishment tool and work with operation manager to adjust stock level at hub level
• Continuously implement & review stock policies in hubs including adjustment of safety stock and stock positioning to optimize inventory and achieve maximum efficiency
• Continuously monitor and report stock metrics
• Managing introduction of new SKUs providing insights for impact at category level and highlights any potential consequences in terms of aging risks
• Integrate key variables into replenishment processes to optimize margins (Supplier performance, promotional agreements with suppliers….etc)

Requirements:

• 5 - 8 Years experience in Inventory Management and DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) in E-Commerce/FMCG
• Previous experience in team management experience within Supply Chain related function
• Experience with software packages including Microsoft Office, and specifically MS Excel and Access programs
• 5 Years experience working with SAP and/or other ERP systems
