Our story began in 2010 as a small medical reference laboratory with less than 10 employees. We soon discovered that the needs of our practitioners and our clients required us to implement mobile phlebotomy. Driven by an ageing population and feedback from our clients

Data Analysts

We are looking for highly analytical candidates who are as skilled in healthcare administration as they are in business management. They will be responsible for compiling and organizing healthcare data, analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management, and communicating their findings with management.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling and organizing healthcare data.
  • Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and decision making.
  • Using healthcare data to achieve administrative needs and goals.
  • Understanding data storage and data sharing methods.
  • Investigating data to find patterns and trends.
  • Understanding healthcare business operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, BSc. Science or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution. Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL.
  • Proficiency with Python for data manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of data management applications.
  • Proficiency in managing electronic medical records.
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills

Laboratory Technologists

In this position you will perform as part of the Laboratory team, which collects, performs and results chemical tests on body fluids and specimens from patients to provide accurate information to clinicians for diagnosis and prevention of diseases.

Responsibilities

  • Examine specimens received by the department and organize workflow to provide optimum efficiency of testing and turnaround time of results in molecular department
  • Perform PCR, hybridization, and genetic sequencing on specimens
  • Perform quality control, validation, and other quality activities to verify performance of clinical assays
  • Performing daily maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot unexpected problems with equipment monitor temperatures of incubation equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and reagents and communicate requirements
  • Operate complex equipment and computer programs related to equipment and HMIS system
  • Maintain records of test results and archives of data
  • Perform proficiency testing to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Skills in another medical laboratory discipline with be an added advantage

Qualification & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical sciences from a recognized institution
  • Must be registered with KMLTTB and have a valid practicing license.
  • Minimum two years working experience in molecular work

Medical Research Officers

We continuously seek to conduct thorough research on different ailments and put in place methods of testing them. We are looking for committed individuals to accomplish these assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sample collection and processing
  • Assist in running of laboratory assays for the project Lab Results processing and reporting
  • Field Data collection and management
  • Assist in other tasks to support the project as required. Provide administrative assistance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Biological sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Clinical Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Technology, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Applied Sciences from a recognized institution
  • A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
  • Valid License from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians Technologist Board. (KMLTTB)
  • Proficiency with molecular laboratory equipment with recent attachment in a parasitology/molecular biology laboratory;
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques; DNA extraction, PCR and Qpcr;
  • Knowledgeable in Sequencing and Sequencing data analysis; Accuracy and close attention to detail; and
  • Strong analytical and organization skills.

Pharmaceutical Technologists

In response to the changing demands for quality and cost effective treatment, we need to recruit pharmaceutical technologists.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting doctors’ orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
  • Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals Control medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising interventions
  • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
  • Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Prepare medicine when appropriate using the correct dosages and material for each individual patient
  • Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding refilling medication
  • Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals

  • Proven experience as a pharmaceutical technologist.
  • Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, etc.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems
  • Good organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach Integrity and compassion

Nurses

Patients benefit from our unique team-based approach to healthcare which enables you to benefit from the diverse expertise of our entire team of medical professionals. We are looking for nurses to perform the following duties;

Responsibilities

  • Perform health assessment of patients brought to the lab to identify their care needs
  • Ensure patients are adequately prepared for procedures and that documentation is up to date
  • Prepare the necessary procedure trays and equipment before procedure while maintain sterility.
  • Maintain highest standards of infection control, as per hospital policies and procedure.
  • Assist the physician to perform procedures, and administers the necessary medications
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures and reports to the physician any abnormal findings e.g. arrhythmias, excessive bleeding from insertion sites, pain etc
  • Participate in life-saving actions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation
  • Educate patients and families about diseases and their therapies
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the procedure, Hemodynamic monitoring, monitor patient vital signs and Medications given in the lab
  • Ensure discharge instructions from the lab are clear and documented and hands over the patients to  the floors, where applicable.
  • Provide safe environment for patients through adherence to infection control practices, timely safety checks of IV pumps, oxygen source, and other lab equipment
  • Take accountability for efficient use of recourses and practice judicious stock control at all times i.e. accurate and timely billing of used CSSD items and Unit drugs
  • Responsible for safe use of lab equipment through proper cleaning, storage, per shift checks of the inventory and timely reporting of non-functional equipment to the nurse manager

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized school of nursing or University
  • Current licensure with the Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Demonstrate evidence based knowledge of current practices in Critical Care nursing

Systems Maintenance Engineers

We are looking for system maintenance engineers who will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in our laboratories. Using computerized systems, the engineers will oversee routine maintenance and organize repairs. They will also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. Your role is vital to the efficiency, development and progress of our laboratories.

Working with other professionals, the engineers will improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of our equipment.

Responsibilities

As a maintenance engineer, you’ll need to:

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs
  • Liaise with client departments, customers and other laboratory technologists
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Write maintenance 
  • strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Medical Technology, Applied Physics (Electronics and Instrumentation), Mechatronic Engineering or any other relevant degree from a recognized institution.
  • Registration certificates from relevant regulatory bodies
  • Ability to read system schematics.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipments
