JOB DETAILS:

The firm is looking for Investments Journalism Interns with advanced knowledge and elements necessary to make an analytical . The interns will conduct research, write, edit and publish Investments content for websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, podcasts and more. They will work closely with the editorial and Investments team to produce content, research on Investments topical issues for storytelling, identify and conduct interviews with story sources
Successful and highly productive interns will get the opportunity to participate in both a strong incentive structure and a clear path to a fulfilling career in Investments journalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting fundamental company research and analysis, in Real Estate, Private Equity, Structured Products, Equities & Fixed Income
• Analyzing historical and projected financial statements & investment data
• Research, write, edit and publish Investments content for websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, podcasts and more
• Conducting country, industry and capital markets research
• Work closely with the editorial and Investments team to produce content
• Research on Investments topical issues for story telling
• Identify and conduct interviews with Business story sources
• Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
• Become an influencer who makes an impact on the company and within the industry through the production of Investments digital content
• Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts/social media
• Use your editing, content management to publish and edit content across various digital platforms
• Comply with all corporate policies and procedures
• Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time

REQUIREMENTS
• The ideal candidate should have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Upper Second Class Honors or equivalent in a related field
• Minimum of a B+ in KCSE or equivalent
• Interest and ability to generate Investments related content
• Excellent analytical skills and quantitative ability
• Social media savvy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great accuracy, organization, attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to carry out assigned projects to completion with minimal directions
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and distill the most important takeaways to guide next steps
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate
