JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To manage inventory effectively and efficiently within the PSCMD satellites stores and supply centers to ensure continuity of supplies by close monitoring of stock movement and levels and by also appropriately planning staff work schedule to achieve departmental and institutional goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities
Administration
1. Assist end users to get alternative products for items that are out of stock.
2. Ensure timely submission of invoices received at theatre satellites.
3. Attend theatres user committee meetings and follow through closure of supply chain agenda issues.
4. Support the PSCMD Satellites Supervisor in the daily operations.
Quality Control
1. Confirm order requests from various sub stores
2. Verify medical surgical items and direct delivery items billed to patients
3. Monitor Stock Issue and charges as well as monitoring pending material requests and follow-up on closure for declined requests
4. Ensure items issued are accurately and timely posted and timely submission of invoices received
Coordination
1. Support relevant user departments with quotations of new product requests
2. Coordinate with purchasing dept. to ensure on-time delivery of items requested by end users
3. Co-ordinate with the main warehouse to ensure timely deliveries to the sub stores
4. Co-ordinate deliveries from the main warehouse to various sub stores within the Hospital
Financial Management
1. Ensure Optimum stock levels across the Hospital satellites locations.
2. Ensure Minimal stock variances and monitor stock to ensure no expiries.
3. Monitor and identify obsolete items and subsequently facilitate return to supplier.
4. Share with end user slow moving non-stock items for consumption
Reporting
1. Ensure Optimum stock levels across the Hospital satellites locations.

4. Monitor and identify obsolete items and subsequently facilitate return to supplier
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required
1. Diploma in Supply Chain Management. A degree will be an added advantage
2. 2 years’ work experience in the field of supply chain management
3. Proficiency in MS Office – MS Excel, MS word, MS PowerPoint, etc.
4. Experience in Inventory Control systems
5. Membership with KISM/ CIPS or any other relevant professional body
6. Business letters & report writing skills
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent telephone handling skills
8. Leadership skills; attention to detail.
9. Good organization and administrative skills
10. Ability to work independently and in a team
