There are over 7 billion farmed egg-laying hens alive at any given time. These animals are being selectively bred for maximized egg production, with each egg laid requiring a significant amount of dietary input - particularly calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D. 

Research Internship

The
 role

  • Adding to our ongoing literature review, exploring promising novel avenues.
  • Researching industrial stakeholders, regulatory information, searching for contacts
  • Assisting with report-writing and data presentation
  • Attending meetings (stakeholder and internal) to take notes, add input, actively collaborate with cofounders.

Data Collection Internship

The role

As a Data Collection Intern, you will be working directly with the Country Manager to execute data gathering tasks. You will meet with the local Kenyan team for key activities including:

  • Collecting metadata from farms via phone calls or in-person visits;
  • Collecting feed samples via our Sample Collection Protocol;
  • Accompanying vets performing on-farm welfare indicator assessments.
