JOB DETAILS:
• The internship is for a minimum of three (3) months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of six (6) months, depending on the needs of the Unit. Interns work five days per week (35-40 hours), under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned. The Internship is UNPAID and full-time.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background as well as the internship period. Under the direct supervision of the Associate Expert in the Marine and International Waters Unit and it is expected that his/her responsibilities will fall within one or several of the following broad activities to support the implementation of activities related to Marine and Coastal Ecosystems:
• Support the reporting officer in internal processes such as drafting, extending, and amending legal agreements with various project partners.
• Assist with the review of project reports
• Assist in the preparation of workshops, meetings, and other events to achieve programmatic results
• Undertake targeted desktop research to compile stories, facts, data, and other pieces on marine and coastal ecosystems (e.g. kelp, seagrass, seaweed, and coral reefs)
• Support relevant communication tasks relating to the coral reef portfolio
• Support the Marine and International Waters team by taking meeting minutes and other administrative tasks
• Map out potential sources of funding for the reporting officer and assist with desktop research to obtain financial support for projects
• Support other tasks or activities as required and in accordance with the Intern's interests
