Innovations Marketing Manager- East and Southern Africa (ESA)
Main Responsibilities
• Innovation is at the heart; you work across all functions to build best tasting products that tell a story the consumer and customer cannot ignore with winning financials.
• Own every performance element of your innovation – accountable for brand equity, strategy, performance and profitability
• Deliver game changing brand strategy that brings the consumer into our brands and delivers loyalty and commitment to achieve business goals
• Land brilliant execution in digital, PR and in-store – drive our brand awareness via owned and earned channels, working to create, and run successful influencer events.
• Into the data zone – you love to dig into the data and uncover the insight jewels
• Work to raise brand awareness/maintain image and ensure best in class across your market/Brand(s) with integrated sales & marketing plans, tools, and creative assets.
• Steward local and global Stage and Gate process – New Product Development and Product Council meetings, including maintaining & stewarding process compliance within key cross functional partners within Brand, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial
Key Skills & Experiences
• 5-8 years of job experience, preferably in brand or product ownership within FMCG environment
• A proven track record in delivering brand growth and managing a holistic brand P&L: strategic outlook to define brand targets, sales mix, margin levers and contribution
• A deep consumer focus, taking an audience led approach, translating insights into marketing and activation activity
• Has a strong creative eye with the ability to articulate briefs and provide feedback with impact
• Can work in an agile, test and learn, iterative manner as part of cross functional rapid response teams
• A driver of collaboration, can lead a cross-functional team internally, delegate effectively and influence across levels to make things happen
• Experience and comfort working in a highly matrixed organization with direct and regional reporting lines – aligning key stakeholders regularly to ensure the project moves forward
• A creative problem solver who can find solutions for business challenges and ensure internal barriers do not get in the way of external success
• Regularly challenge your own assumptions and those of your team to improve our work
• Thrive on ‘making things happen’ and seeing ideas through to action
• A strong drive and passion for winning!
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Highly Preferred
1 plan. Ensure that the annual Sales and Marketing Activity Calendar is translated into customer specific activities. • Ensure that all planned NPD, campaigns, and customer activities are executed on time in full and within budget. • Owns promotional planning process. • Lead category management with key customers. • Manages and ensures efficient use of Trade Marketing funds for Brand/Category. • Monitor, analyze and evaluate market trends, shopper insights, and competitor activities. Drive Category and Brand strategy through insightful analyses, growth opportunities identification in customer reviews and business development. • Lead promotional and NPD evaluation and provides recommendations to all relevant stakeholders. • Drive and influence efficiency and maximization of spend, and ROI mindset ">
