Madison Group Limited is a locally owned financial services holding company that specializes in Insurance and wealth management services. The Group comprises of Madison Life Assurance Kenya Limited, Madison General Insurance Kenya Limited, and Madison Investment Managers Limited. Madison Life Assurance Kenya was originally incorporated under Kenyan Laws in 1988 as Madison Insurance Company Limited (MICK) after a successful merger between Crusader Plc (1974) and Kenya Commercial Insurance Corporation.

The Role
Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be located at the Group’s Head Office in Madison House and it will report to the Group Head of ICT. It will be responsible for the following key functions:
• Establish and maintain a corporate wide information security management program.
• Translate the IT-risk requirements and constraints of the business into technical control requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate the IT organization’s technical activities to implement and manage security infrastructure.
• Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
• Create, communicate and implement a risk-based process for vendor risk management.
• Manage information security and risk management awareness training
• programs.
• Provide regular reporting on the current status of the information security program.
• Develop and oversee effective disaster recovery policies and standards.
• Manage outsourced vendors that provide information security functions.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management.
• Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and comply with policies and audit requirements.
• Design, coordinate and oversee security-testing procedures.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related qualification.
• Certification and/or knowledge in the following areas would be preferred:
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• A minimum of five years IT experience, with at least three years in an information security role, in the financial sector.
