JOB DETAILS:
Our Client Imarisha Sacco is a duly licensed deposit-taking Sacco under the SACCO Socie..AL 2003 und has its major operations in Kericho, Bomet. Nakuru, Kisumu and Uasin Gishu Counties with head office in Kericho town. Imarisha Sacco began its operations in 1978 and has since grown to be a financial service provider of choice in the region with nine branches, We are looking for focused, dynamic and experienced individuals to fill the following position above; We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. He/ she will be part of a talented team that demonstrate technical competency in ensuring highest skill level of hardware & software, performance, availability and security. .

Key Responsibilities:
• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information,
• Identify and define system security requirements,
• Develop technical solutions for software & hardware and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further security assessment.
• To assist to resolve IT system issues by performing regular troubleshoots on network issues and analyzing system logs.
• To provide necessary assistance in installation of hardware, provide required upgrades and management of change orders,
• To provide technical expertise for all manual product processes
• To properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal or external teams (e.g. software developers)
• To provide prompt and accurate feedback to all system users
• To prioritize and manage several open issues at any time and ensure that all issues have been logged.
• To perform relevant due diligence and follow up to ensure that IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer science or IT related field
• Advanced Linux systems administration skills and other OS environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Hands on experience in security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, log management, content filtering etc.
• Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques and protocols.
• Additional certification in Microsoft such as MCSE, CISCO, LPI and CompTIA A+ will be an added advantage
