JOB DETAILS:
The International Leadership University (ILU) is a Christian university first registered as the International Christian Graduate University (ICGU) in 1980. It changed to the Nairobi International School of Theology (NIST) in 1985, and later to the International Leadership University, ILU, in 2012 in compliance with the University Act (2012). Our mission as a university is to educate and train Christ-like visionary leaders who spearhead holistic transformation in Africa and the world. We have equipped over 1,500 graduates and reached-out to many leaders in Africa, in partnership with local and global partners. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
• Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software.
• Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN) and other systems.
• Install computer peripherals for users.
• Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
• Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
• Follow up with staff to ensure all technical issues has been resolved.
• Promote a Christian and corporate culture upholding ILU Core Values and Statement of Faith and ILU Statement of Confidentiality.
• Any additional IT related tasks or other duties as delegated by management.

Qualifications and Skills:
• BA/BSc. degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Practical understanding of common TCP/IP protocols and general networking principles (TCP/UDP/ICMP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, subnetting, routing, etc.).
• Fundamental understanding of wireless (Wi-Fi) and wireline (Fiber, DSL) technologies.
• Practical understanding of common web-based technologies, REST, JavaScript, Open source and Webhosting platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be a good team player.
