JOB DETAILS:
ICT Officer
The officers are responsible for supporting the delivery of the ICT shared services, by realization of the Council’s plans and service outcomes, through the provision of expertise, advice and support in relation to ICT. This is the entry level for the graduate cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -
• Manage the network administration activities in liaison with Chief/Senior ICT Officer and end-users;
• Implement and maintain of Telecommunication and Internet networks in adherence to established ICT standards;
• Schedule a timetable of preventive maintenance and oversee the operations of helpdesk system;
• Maintain optimal functioning of the electronic CCTV Security and user access control system for the office
• Ensure reliable internet connectivity within the Council with minimal downtime by working closely with the internet service providers;
• Prepare status and progress reports of the Information and Communication Technology network/hardware maintenance;
• Participate in development of the Department’s Work plan and budget;
• Prepare networks, electronic CCTV Security and user access control system reports on a scheduled basis; and
• Participate in departmental and Committee meetings.
• Any other duty as may be assigned
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, or equivalent from a recognized university;
• Four(4) years relevant work experience; and
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution; if applicant is shortlisted

• Interpersonal skills; and
• Integrity.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Remuneration – In line with the NCPWD salary scale & SRC guidelines on allowances
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 48
