East African Portland Cement Plc (EAPC Plc'the Company') is a leading Cement Manufacturing Company which was established in 1933 The Company's product sold under the brand name Blue Triangle Cement has been instrumental in the Region's social-economic growth as virtually all segments of development have benefited from the use of this brand. The Company is seeking to fill the following vacant position as part of a reorganization program that is aimed at providing operational and strategic leadership
ICT Manager - JOB REF:EAPC PLC / FIN/ICTM/06/2021
Reporting to the Head of Finance & Strategy, the ICT Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of information and communication systems required to assist the business meet its objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The ICT Manager's key responsibilities are to:
a) Develop and implement innovative and effective ICT strategy that supports the corporate strategy, maximize service delivery and fully exploit available technology options
b) Manage and coordinate ICTfunctions across the business operations and provide strategic leadership and guidance on ICT matters including enforcing best practices in ICT standards
c) Keep abreast of local and global best practices in ICT technology and make recommendations to the Management on how these can be applied to the Company's Operations
d) Lead and coordinate the ICT Team in design, development, implementation operation and support of integrated ICT infrastructure across all the functions in the organization.
e) Provide leadership in Development. Implementation and enforcement of ICT policies and standards
f) Liaise closely with ICT vendors and service providers for continuity of effective and timely service delivery.
g)Proactively manage and oversee timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, license renewals, migrations and management of system.outages.
h) Build, lead and motivate a competent ICT department team and ensure that department has the right people,
i) Source and manage external ICT services providers to sustainably support the delivery of services to the business
j) Develop ICT budget. monitor and control departmental expenditure to ensure spending within budget and value for money.
k) Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by Management from time to time.
Person specifications
Applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications:
a) Holder of Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
b) Holder of a Diploma in systems design.
c) A Master's in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
d) At least eight [8] years' relevant working experience in a busy ICT department preferably in manufacturing Company three (3) of which should be in a senior management position.
e) Experience in information system implementation preferably an ERP system.
f) Ability to oversee budgeting and planning for the department
g)Ability to lead, influence and drive change initiatives in support of business strategies within the department and the Company
h) Ability to communicate effectively, prepare and present Management reports.
1) Strong human relations and interpersonal skills.
j)Unquestionable character and integrity.
Terms of Service and Remuneration
The appointment is for a period of three (3) years renewable, subject to satisfactory performance and delivery of set performance targets. The Company offers competitive salary and benefits.

In addition to the person specifications outlined, candidates are expected to fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the Leadership and Integrity Act and applications should be accompanied by copies of the following documents:
