JOB DETAILS:
Overall Job Purpose
The Human Resources Director will lead the professional and strategic HR delivery to Management and employees in line with global best HR practices and HF Group people strategies, as well as effectively oversee HR performance metrics and management reporting needed for decision making in the achievement of organizational objectives.
He/she will direct the organization’s Human Resources Agenda. This will include, but not limited to: Implement the Group’s HR strategy and policies and procedures, developing and implementing policies and programs that support the organization’s overall strategic direction, . overseeing administration activities such as resourcing, total rewards & compensation, learning and development, people audits & governance, culture & engagement, employee relations, administration & facilities management, talent management and performance management among other responsibilities.
The role holder will remain informed on local labour laws and regulations ensuring that the Bank's policies and programs conform to laws and are competitive, while working closely with general management level, and directing the efforts of HR management and related staff. H/she will be responsible for resource allocation, including budget and personnel.

Principle Accountabilities
Governance
• Partner with the Group Chief Executive Officer to design, develop, measure and evaluate governance programs, policies and processes.
• Drive compliance on audit obligations.
• Drive board agenda for business productivity on all human capital activities.
• Direct and execute the preparation & maintenance of regular and special reports desired for corporate management to assist in the attainment of company objectives
Business Planning & Strategy
• Contribute to the formulation of the Group’s Human Capital strategy and ensure that all HR policies and procedures are sound and drive the performance of the organization.
• Design the right annual operational planning guidelines and facilitate the company’s budget planning.
Culture & Engagement
• Oversee effective implementation of Change management initiatives.
• Entrench and empower business unit heads to develop, implement and monitor action plans in identified dimensions targeted at improving culture and employee engagement.
• Steward sustenance of a working environment that fosters the admirable culture and employee engagement.
Employee Relations
• Overseeing the company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures.
• Implementing a structured approach to industrial relations and employee relations through provision of advice to managers on policies and processes.
• Staying abreast of changes in local legislation and managing internal and external stakeholders.
Talent Management & Development
• Manage the career-path management program in-order to develop and optimize the full potential of the human resources in the company
• Create a training & development strategy for the Group’s vision and action plan to implement dynamic learning systems contributing to the success of the organization.
• Establish and maintain relationships with top executives to identify and satisfy the business objectives through appropriate learning and development programs
• Leverage technology and best in class development and delivery solutions to provide online and classroom-based learning solutions
• Provide leadership in the planning, directing, and coordination of learning objectives and instructional strategies; including developing the best methodologies for training delivery (i.e. web-based, classroom, etc.).
• Create appropriate learning partners / institutions for learning & development.
• Design & develop mentorship & coaching programs in order to ensure there is a talent pool that will be ready to take up Leadership positions within the organization.
• Drive succession planning and talent segmentation initiatives
• Design, lead and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire best in class talent through : Designing talent mapping & sourcing strategies ,designing healthy recruitment mix and identifying and tapping internal and external channels of recruitment.
• Create a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and strengthen the Employer Brand in order to attract and retain the best talent
• Anchor the Talent Management process including talent reviews, identification of top talent, succession planning, development planning and cascading of the talent management process across the organization
Total Rewards & Compensation
• Direct and execute the company’s reward strategy, and segmented pay and benefits systems
• Build and deploy competitive remuneration systems that fosters engagement and employee retention
• Oversee compensation, benefits and incentive management initiatives
• Ensure effective Human Capital budget management and control
• Articulate compensation strategy for the Group in line with the compensation philosophy of the company and local market requirements in order to ensure alignment to the market
• Lead periodic benchmarking with competition and annual salary increase process with data, analysis and recommendations to acquire and maintain a competitive advantage
HR Operations
• Responsible for company's health and safety programs
• Provide leadership to ensure that all HR processes are fit for purpose, automated and agile in-order to hasten the speed of delivery and improve on service delivery
• Design and deploy HR Analytics and monitoring; and direct analysis of HR performance metrics and employee information reporting
• Lead, drive, communicate and be accountable for shared service strategies that deliver high quality, cost effective services across the organization
• Define HR automation charter and ensure planning, implementation and successful rollout of HR systems
Organization design
• Drive robust organizational structures aligned with the Group’s vision and mission, whilst considering peculiarities of the ever-changing business environment
• Lead effective headcount management, optimization and competency enhancement
• Build functional peculiarities and headcount requirements in line with short and long-term business strategies
• Cascade approved structures and manage manpower planning and placement with Business unit heads
Performance Management
• Direct and execute the company’s performance management system
• Facilitate and support managers in the creation and maintenance of a high-performance company culture; and act as an employee champion
• Works through heads of divisions in setting performance standards, priorities, and schedules
• Drive business analytics on Human Capital productivity

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
• Masters Qualification in Business Management or a relevant field
• Over 15+ years’ working experience, 10+ of which will be in a Senior executive leadership position.
• Track record of attaining targets of business growth and profitability in the financial services / banking sector and/or in FMCG sector.
• Have appreciation and operating knowledge of the local and regional commercial / financial services industry, market and global trends and challenges
• Sound understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, business and financial services
