JOB DETAILS:
Human Resource Management Officer

Job Purpose:
Undertake human resource activities aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency, staff morale and productivity as outlined in the Institutes human resource plans.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Resource Management/Development, Business Administration (Human Resource option), Commerce (Human Resource option), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

OR
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Sociology, Public Administration, Political Science/Government, Anthropology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution AND a Diploma/ Higher Diploma in Human Resource or Certified Human Resource Practitioner-K (CHRP-K);
• Membership to a human resource professional body;
• Proficiency in computer application skills; and
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the constitution

Job Specification
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Process routine human resource correspondents such as appointment letters, promotion letters, disciplinary letter;
• Support in the recruitment and selection process;
• Management of attendance, leave applications and data within existing rules, regulations and procedures;
• Capture and update staff records and compliment;
• Implement human resource decisions;
• Keep records of staff training and development, performance management and staff exits;
• Payroll administration;
• Process staff welfare schemes, claims and benefits; and
• Prepare periodic reports in a timely manner.

Terms of Service
The successful applicant will be appointed on permanent and pensionable terms.
