JOB DETAILS:
Job purpose
This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of the organization’s human resources and administration strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the division with the recruitment process including but not limited to; contacting candidates, preparation of shortlisting and interviewing processes, performing reference checks, issuing employment contracts, onboarding of new staff including documentation of new staff and facilitating inductions.
2. Management of the Commission’s student attachment programme.
3. Update and maintain digital and manual records and data of employees.
4. Update and follow up on statutory and other deductions related to payroll.
5. Assist in the facilitation of the Commission’s performance management cycle.
6. Assist in the management of the Commission’s training and development program.
7. Assist in the management the Commission’s staff related insurance schemes including; medical, life accident, and motor vehicle among others.
8. The division’s requisitioner in the Integrated Financial Management Information System and other financial management systems within the Commission.
9. Assist in maintenance of office furniture/fittings, identification of work space for staff and providing the necessary working tools and equipment;
10. Assist in the management of Commission fleet.
11. Following up on payments of contracted service providers and other service providers including, but not limited to, payment of rent, vehicle maintenance and supply of fuel, subscription for membership to professional bodies etc.
Key Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or an equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Be a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
3. Higher Diploma in HRM, CHRP or an equivalent Human Resource or Administration certification.
4. At least one (1) year of relevant service in a comparable position from a reputable organization
5. Knowledge of relevant legislation’s e.g. labor laws.
6. Good communication, listening and client management skills.
7. Computer literacy including excellent Microsoft office tools skills
