JOB DETAILS:
The Administrative and Human Resources Officer is responsible for providing professional administrative support and HR-related services to SIF operations, programs and staff. The Administrative and Human Resources Officer is responsible for providing professional administrative support and HR-related services to SIF operations, programs and staff. This position will ensure that the HR policies and administrative practices enable SIF to work in an effective, efficient and consistent manner in compliance with Kenyan regulations, SIF procedures and Donors guidelines. The Administrative and Human Resources Officer will work in close collaboration with the rest of the departments and under the direct supervision of the Regional Admin, HR & Finance Coordinator. .
 Job Responsibilities:
• Participate in the implementation of updated SIF’s HR policy and Code of Conduct,
• Ensure that SIF is operating within the statutory requirements of Kenyan Labor Law and regulation,
• Ensure that job descriptions are developed for new positions and reviewed/revised for ongoing positions as required,
• Ensure that the organizational chart and staff’s contact information including staff’s personnel profiles are updated on a regular basis,
• Monitor adhesion to national HR policy at base level
• Manage the cleaner of SIF on a daily basis: prepare schedule, make sure the cleaner has the information and the means to do her/his work properly
• Collaborate in the recruitment, selection and hiring of new SIF staff and service contractors,
• Ensure that the Regional Admin, HR & Finance Coordinator has all necessary data for declarations and payment of taxes and contributions
• Keep informed of all bills and changes associated with employment law, employment in general, and staff training.
• Check the monthly salaries, prepare and verify payroll processing

 Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR and Administration.
• Min 2 years’ experience in Admin & HR in a large non – profit or corporate multi-cultural environment
• Extensive knowledge of Kenyan’s employment laws and Kenyan tax issues
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions) and outlook
• Demonstrated understanding of HR technical areas, such as compensation and benefits, employment, job evaluation, salary administration, performance management and personnel development and training.
• Experience in and commitment to participatory management and maintaining a supportive, open environment to ensure the transferring of knowledge & development of all staff;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
