JOB DETAILS:
Inuka Africa Limited is a non-deposit taking microfinance institution operating in Kenya since 2011. We provide training, capacity building and financing to micro and small enterprises, smallholder farmers and agribusiness actors. We seek a Human Resource and Administration (HR&A) Manager who will elevate our HR and admin functions to world class standards. A seasoned professional who is self-driven, highly motivated, passionate about people development, service excellence and creating internal and external impact. .
Broadly, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• HR&A policy and process development/optimization and continuous improvement
• Staff recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation and continuous development
• Compensation and benefits administration
• Employee relations and management of all HR processes
• Employee welfare and safety
• HR practices compliance to the law, and in line with best practice
• Deployment of HRMIS and other tools for efficient HR administration
• Optimization of administrative and support processes
• Molding and shaping the desired company culture through various HR interventions
• Developing systems for continuous feedback from internal and external customers
• Regular reporting on HR metrics to the executive and Board
• Engagement with external parties on HR related matters

Requirements
• Degree in Human Resources or related field; additional HR training and certification a plus
• 5+ years’ experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
• 2+ years’ experience as HR manager / HR executive
• People oriented and results driven
• Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
• Experience with HR systems and databases
• Ability to architect and execute strategy / leadership skills
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Able to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
