JOB DETAILS:
Overview
The role holder will:
-
• Receive requisitions from the various departments for sourcing and fulfillment of the goods and services requisition.
• Generate weekly and monthly procurement plans for cash flow planning purposes.
• Seek and analyze quotes for quality, price, payment terms, and delivery period.
• Generate the orders to suppliers and obtain approval of the orders for the purchase of goods and services.
• Confirm delivery of goods and materials whether they are full or half delivered and if not or half delivered then make a follow-up on them.
• Ensure goods returned to the supplier have the required documents for proper accounting and reference purposes.
• Ensure good and understanding relationships among the procurement, suppliers, and the involved departments in the company.
• Ensure goods bought by petty cash follow the right protocol from requisition requesting until the approval of the goods and materials.
• Analyze the report from purchased goods and materials according to the departments from which purchase requisitions were raised.
• Ensure the organization gets value for money through efficient supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contracting. Develop Supplier catalog maintenance, evaluation, and rating for consistence.
Key result areas for this role
• Clear and demonstrable management of stock levels and related holding costs through proactive.
• Maintenance of reliable, accurate, and useful records and documentation at all times to assist management in decision making.
• Determination of the appropriate stock levels, and ensuring stocks requirements are met whilst ensuring there is no overstocking or understocking.
• Obtain regular feedback from user departments and ensure issues of concern are addressed
• Appropriate physical storage and security within the stores with a clean and tidy arrangement to eradicate damage and loss.
• Development of stores staff through training and mentoring.
• Accurate filing and documentation within the procurement section.
• Facilitates storage security while ensuring correct material sourcing, handling, storage, and Accurate goods and materials sourcing and distribution in relation to requisitions.
• Efficient vehicle routing planning and organization for goods and materials collection.
• Supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contracting to ensure the organization deals with reliable sources.
• Promote integrity in the organizational supply chain.

Desired education, knowledge, skills, and experience
• At least a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supplies management.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Well versed in computer applications and systems – MS Office, Infor 10 SunSystems and SSPR
• At least 5 years in procurement and supply chain management.
