Summary job description
The job holder is responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality mobility strategy for Blue Ventures, which supports our talent management aims and approach and enables the recruitment and retention of diverse talent:
• To provide global leadership on mobility strategy, best practices and compliance, including developing a new mobility approach that supports our People Strategy and talent management aims and approach with a particular focus on recruiting talent from diverse backgrounds to reflect the communities we serve.
• Enabling Blue Ventures to unlock the benefits of an agile and mobile workforce by defining and driving our global mobility agenda and establishing a process for the operations of the organisation and its workforce across international borders enabling employees to move from one location to another and the hiring of colleagues in different countries
• Ensuring Blue Ventures is compliant and cost-effective in the locations in which we operate
• Provide subject matter expertise for the approx. 350 Blue Ventures colleagues based in 14 countries.
• To build and maintain expertise with external providers
• To develop and capacity-build managers and HR colleagues in mobility matter
• To provide an end-to-end service for colleagues being deployed outside of their usual base country
• To manage all mobility casework, to maintain logs and records of all mobility cases.
Skills and experience
Education and Qualifications
• Level 7 CIPD, People qualification and a relevant level of transferrable experience or equivalent
Experience
• Working in a not-for-profit organisation is desirable but not essential
• Experience in an international organisation supporting country programmes
• Working in a complex multi-disciplined environment
• Being part of a senior leadership team
• Significant People experience, including generalist experience at a senior level.
• Managing a significant HR function and leading a remote team.
• Proven experience in managing the operational aspects of HR and delivering significant change projects and continuous improvements
• Developing organisation-wide initiatives and strategies
• Managing People risks and resolving complex matters relating to employment litigation
• Setting up and effectively using people-related management information and systems
• Overseeing and approving payroll instructions and liaising with the payroll team to ensure a smooth payroll process
• Management of budgets
• Championing, supporting and delivering Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives
