About the Role
At SunCulture our success depends on the efficiency of our organizational processes. To help maintain and grow this standard, we’re seeking an experienced Head of Operations. The ideal candidate is required to be business-minded with the ability to manage multiple teams and drive maximum productivity. Additionally, you’ll display a proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team. Your role will be to ensure smooth operations in the field including team management, resources allocation and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a detailed plan for all operations activities with proper forecasting of operational needs and ensuring departmental expenditure is within the allocated budget, analyze any variances and proactively initiate corrective actions while developing a low-cost model that is economical.
• Proper allocation of resources (human resources, motor vehicles, and service center space) and ensure all Sales & Service Centers (SSCs) are well stocked and vehicles are properly allocated and accounted for to attain operational excellence.
• Deliver results through others through mentorship and coaching of your team members and allowing the team to take accountability and ownership of their work
• Conduct weekly and daily check-ins for communication, open feedback sessions and attain team alignment in terms of strategic progress and changes
• Ensure proper work scheduling and regional decentralization in order to attain results within the set turnaround time
• Attain efficiency through clear communication to all stakeholders on all issues raised in reference to field operations
• Monitor Sales and Service Center (SSC) operations and ensure standard operating procedures are followed and optimized for maximum efficiency and visibility
• Set standards and operational processes for the operations team to drive efficiency and ensure all team members are operating in a healthy and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance for all Sales and Service Centers and vehicles by obtaining/maintaining relevant insurance, legal entities, licenses, and permits as per government regulation
• Device effective strategies to constantly improve the customer experience, including strategies to better resolve problems and complaints raised by the customers through the Sales and Service Centers
• Work with the engineering and sales teams to support the existing escalation process for improved after-sales support at the Sales and Service Centers
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive Sales and Service Centers sustainability
• Prepare and present reports to your line manager, including weekly reports on operations, overhead expenses report
• Be an active participant in all committee meetings that require your presence and lead the weekly Credit and Operations Committee meetings
• Collaborate with the other members of the business team and establish effective working relationships with all stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field or relevant work experience
• 7+ years’ proven experience in an operations management position, experience in the solar industry preferable
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and proven record managing teams
• Enjoy multitasking and working under pressure to achieve deadlines
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to project a positive image for him/ herself and the company
• Team player with a commitment to value-based leadership
• Credibility and flexibility to deal with people at different levels and from various cultural backgrounds
• Strong budget development and oversight skills
• Quick learner, capable of quickly grasping the structures at SunCulture and the market
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Strong relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness, reliability, and integrity.
• Self-motivated with persuasive, enthusiastic, and client-centric focus
• Regular visits to the field and ability and willingness to travel as required
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
• Proactive, collaborative, organized, curious, problem solver with a “can-do” attitude
• Agile with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
