  Job Purpose
This post works under the umbrella of The International Business and External Branches & Units Sector. The Head of IWM Team- Africa Desk will be responsible for managing the assigned IWM Team and leading them in the distribution of international wealth management and global markets products.
This role will be based in Dubai or one of the African Branches..

  Job Responsibilities:
• Take responsibility for the distribution of IWM and global markets products including fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives, and structured products to wealthy individuals and family offices.
• Take charge of setting the International wealth management team financial targets. Achieve own individual targets for the sale of global markets products to corporate clients and internally to the IWM Relationship Managers.
• Lead the sales and customer acquisition activities jointly with the IWM relationship managers to achieve the Lines of business, International Wealth Management and Global Markets financial targets.
• Guide and monitor the International Wealth Management team in conducting aggressive clients’ sales calls programs to existing and potential customers in the assigned country.
• Monitor and offer support to the Relationship Managers on closing their deals in pipeline and with their clients’ complex Pre-settlement risk limits requests.
• Provide training and coaching for Relationship Managers on their sales and customer acquisition activities so as to ensure they achieve and surpass their financial targets.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews as well as weekly team meetings to update the team on markets and products performance as well as to obtain their feedback on their customers’ requirements.
• Review customers’ investments portfolios on a weekly basis and ensure it’s in line with the bank asset allocation model and markets directions.
• Coach the team on adherence to compliance standards and mentor them on their professional development plans.

  Job Qualifications:
You will be a technically proficient individual, possessing exceptional leadership skills and the ability to effectively plan and provide guidance to team members. In addition you will possess:
• Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least eight (8) years’ experience in relationship management (wealth management), three (3) of which must be in a leadership role, managing wealth management teams in Africa.
• Strong knowledge of global markets products cash management, trade finance and secured lending.
• Strong financial product and technical competence in the understanding, development and delivery of wealth planning solutions.
• Extensive know-how of international markets, macroeconomics and an understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Knowledge of investment products.
• Good understanding of the African Market
• Strong leadership problem solving and negotiation skills.
