JOB DETAILS:
The Head of the Global Grantmaking will report to the CEO, work directly with regional and global programmatic and operational teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the network.
Responsibilities
• Further evolve our Catalyst Fund strategy with input from network partners, Catalyst Fund committee members, and members of our programmatic, finance, and executive management teams in order to best meet the needs of our network partners, maximize impact, and support the development of financially independent and sustainable network partners
• Oversee the our subgranting application and reporting processes and communications, including working with our finance and legal teams on related due diligence to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices related to international grantmaking, as well as with the subgrants operations team to ensure a strong overall experience for network partners and consistency across Teach For All subgrants
• Further build, cultivate, and support external, independent committees composed of global donors, allies, and experts to review proposals, interview applicants, recommend funding allocations, and assess grantees' use of funding
• Directly manage our Director, Global Grantmaking Programs who oversees our subgrant operations team
• Work closely with our Global Development team and executive leadership to cultivate current and prospective Catalyst Fund donors
• Work closely with our Regional Teams to ensure strong communications and culture around subgranting with our partner organizations
Education And Experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 7 years of work experience
• Deep and broad understanding of Teach For All's mission and programmatic approach
• Prior experience working for a grantmaking organization
• Prior experience with one of our network partner organizations, either as a participant or staff member, strongly preferred

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders from a range of cultures and understand their goals and motivations in order to drive effective operations

• Strong operating and managing skills - keen attention detail and an aptitude for building and executing seamless and efficient processes
• Ability to be generative and independently drive towards outcomes, demonstrating flexibility and shifting priorities as needed based on how the work evolves
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues globally, including a high volume of virtual engagement (i.e., conference calls, social media, virtual collaboration tools) and regular calls during non-traditional working hours
• Must have sensitivity toward racial, cultural, and ideological diversity
