Head of Data
A Bit About The Role
Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the business is seeking a Head of Data who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will be able to take charge of the Data the company has to offer and extract it to show what is there and what is missing. You would be able to build Credit Risk Models and bring your passion for data to life.

Requirements
Your daily adventures include:
• Credit focused, from non-traditional micro lending
• Work on credit risk analysis and scoring in digital lending, using structured and unstructured data
• Lead a lean team that would focus on building internal data scoring capabilities, as well and data analytics
• Focused on internalizing the companies’ Scoring capabilities for its products ranging from short term loans and device financing for MNOs, to SME lending
• Work with statistical credit risk modelling
• Work with the CFO to enable business decisions based off the data
• Understand the compliance aspect around data
• Assessing system performance and making recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage improvements
• Ensuring data and information security by integrating and upholding digital security systems
What It Takes To Succeed
• At least 7 years’ experience working in the Digital Bank, Fintech, Payments sector preferably start-up’s
• Have a credit risk assessment/management background
• Experience using telco data
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership skills
• Hands on doer who is proactive
• Can work without being Micromanaged (Self Starter)
• Experience in scaling a Fintech start up
• Focus on the macro and micro, that means thinking big picture but also able to do the actual tasks
