HR Business Partner Support Officer
Job Purpose Statement
The purpose of the role is to provide day to day administrative support to the Retail Banking Senior HRBP and HRBP Support Manager. This will be achieved through working closely with them to ensure efficient and effective running of the HR initiatives through provision of day to day operational support as per the defined HR procedures and best practices. The role shall also ensure that reports and data analyses is prepared proactively to yield insights and that staff information is managed securely.
Key Result Areas
Financial 10%
• Work closely with the Senior HRBP and HRBP support Manager to ensure manpower plans remain within the approved staff costs and head count budget of the for Retail banking.
Customer 50%
Ensure the following HR processes are executed exceptionally as per the HR Policy and procedures:
Recruitment & Selection
• Advertisement of the Vacant roles after the approval of the hiring manager and Senior HRBP
• Collecting CVs for potential candidates and updating in the Database
• Scheduling candidates for interviews
• Filing interview results and related documents Staff Documentation & Filing
• Liaising with the Senior HRBP, HRBP Support Manager & Security Manager to conduct documents verification and reference checks for successful candidates
• Documentation and filing for the Direct Sales team
• Tracking of contract renewals for the direct sales team to ensure appraisals are timely, notices and renewals are done by the due date.
• Documentation processing for permanent staff and onward transmission to the HR Shared Services team for filling.
Preparation of HR Reports and Data Analysis
Work closely with the team to prepare the following reports and data:-
• Headcount reports
• Updating Retail organisation structures
• Working closely with the Senior HRBP to prepare presentations for monthly HR update meetings
Internal business processes 20%
• Collectively drive the HR Division’s adherence to approved policies and procedures and provide feedback on the same to keep them competitive.
• Be an advocate for a continually improving way of working within the team to drive efficient and impactful engagement and accurate delivery of service.
• Proactively participate in organisation projects.
Learning and growth 20%
• Maintain own high performance.
• Attain required learning hours and adhere to policy on annual leave
• Own up-to-date and actioned competency assessments and development plans.
• Work towards observing the bank values and service standards to ensure a good departmental CSI score
Ideal Job Specifications
• Academic: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized accredited university.
• Professional: At least 2 years’ experience in administrative HR or operations in a mid-sized organisation. HR Certification recognized by IHRM
Desired work experience:
• Proven track record of consistently supporting the achievement of operational processes in HR.
• In-depth knowledge of the local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations.
• Sound working knowledge and understanding of all labour regulations and practices.
