JOB DETAILS:
BASF’s regional division EMEA Europe, Middle East, Emerging Europe and Africa. BASF operates in more than 50 countries in the region. For BASF the EMEA region is our most important market.

What You Can Expect
The incumbent will be responsible to provide market intelligence across all relevant industries in East Africa. Duties will include the following-
• Self, on-the-job peer to peer learning of selected BU products, applications, industry
• Provide on time reporting of customer and industry related activities
• Develop market intelligence by collecting and analysing relevant market Information
• Ensure ongoing and targeted business development and management of the customer portfolio
• Maintain an easy to communicate template of all projects and activities with timelines and deliverables
• Provide regular reporting on project statuses
• Follow project management and quality management principles and procedures
• Adhere to and comply with all BASF guidelines and procedures
• Conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement
• Follow relevant local and international industry trends
• Ensure that all requirements of the function are carried out timeously and effectively within the business unit
• Demonstrate commitment towards and in accordance with the BASF values and principles
• Demonstrate entrepreneurial efforts toward increasing the BASF brand identity within the region
• Conduct monthly industry reports as assigned such as customer visit and/or production trials reports

What We Expect
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers or any other similar field
• Minimum 1 - 2 years working experience in the related field
• Strong communication skills in English
• Drivers License (Obligatory)
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally
• Good project management and resource management skills
