DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Responsible for GIS mapping and services in the County
• Coordination of GIS mapping in the county
• Development of policies for effective GIS services in the County
• Designing and developing in – house application programs and user interfaces
• Formulating data analysis procedures
• Defining data verification and quality control procedures
• Managing and maintaining Geo- database
• Updating and maintaining hardware and software
• Preparation of GIS related budgets
• Participate in preparation of yearly GIS programs and implementation

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT
• Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines; degree in geospatial engineering, GIS engineering, Geo-informatics, survey and photogrammetry or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
• Members of Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK).
• Communication skills
• Management skills
• GIS skills,

Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
