JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of the job: Carry out skilled gardening and general garden maintenance work including trimming the hedges, removing weeds and trimming the grass. He/she will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the management company offices and general areas such as security house, common paths (lanes/road).

Reporting: The position hold will report to the Estate caretaker/manager

Duties and responsibilities
• Install and maintain seasonal plants
• Mow, trim and fertilize green spaces
• Mulch, edge and weed gardens
• Prune and trim trees and bushes
• Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery, like mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants such as regular watering and weeding.
• Deal with pest problems that could damage plants
• Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter
• Dusting, sweeping, and mopping office surfaces and washrooms.
• Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels)
• Maintaining cleaning products and ordering new supplies when necessary
• Taking out the management office and general areas garbage
• Carrying out minor maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks
• Conducting monthly disinfection and deep cleaning
• Sweeping of the estate lanes and maintain common areas
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or management

Qualifications
• High school certificate (KCSE) or equivalent.
• Experience as a Gardener including trimming of hedges/Cleaner
• At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to handle a range of machinery and powered hand tools.
• In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
• Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation.

Working hours
• Monday to Saturday
Remuneration:
• This position will attract a starting gross monthly salary of Kshs 15,000 which will be reviewed based on the company’s financial capability.

Level of Education: Associate Degree
