Sales & Marketing Representative

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Ability to understands and can respond to agents / social media tasks.
  • Proficiency in compiling power point presentations.
  • Main line of work: visit agents to make presentations of the company products.
  • Zoom presentations for our properties and companies.
  • Assist in compiling offers for all our properties and to drive sales.
  • Prospect, attract and contact potential clients using various ways.
  • Follow up calls and emails existing and potential clients.
  • Create amazing programmes, itineraries and schedules to present to clients.
  • Maintaining client and supplier relations; and ensure all payments are made in good time and in advance.
  • Translate itineraries to clients for various destination of interest.
  • Channel management for E- commerce platforms and bookings.
  • Handling travel enquires on call, emails, social media etc.
  • Ability to organize travel end to end.
  • Ability to prepare competitive quotations, proposals, required travel documentations in the prescribed formats with conditions clearly defined.
  • Updating clients on any changes, e.g. flight delays, restrictions etc.
  • Maintaining vouchers, client records and accounts and determining profit and loss.
  • Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaining’s for clients.
  • You may be required to accompany the travel groups if need be.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or any other related field.
  • Must possess good product knowledge.
  • Able to handle e-mail inquiries efficiently.
  • Conversant and must have working knowledge with relevant systems and soft wares.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of being a Sales and Marketing Representative in tourism sector.
  • Must possess good / excellent product knowledge & be able to put together. itineraries / special offers to be advertised & communicated on.
  • Experience in E-Commerce.

  • Ability to handle high volume enquiries.
  • Good level of understanding of touristic geographical locations.

Reservations Consultant- Tourism

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing and handling all enquiries related to our properties and travel enquires via telephone, the internet, and e-mail.
  • Responding to e-mail inquiries promptly and efficiently by checking availability of products/packages with suppliers, holding reservations, and then responding promptly, within 12 hours, to the client with various options.
  • Sending out contract rates / resident rates
  • Assisting in compiling special offers for the residents and non-resident markets
  • Assisting and advising customers who may be choosing from a variety of travel options.
  • Responding to any queries / compliments / complaints of guests and answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.
  • Following up with clients on completion of their trip for feedback on the experience.
  • Working with IT & design on special offers
  • Providing ideas / content for the property websites to IT
  • Marketing our properties through phone / direct and in person meetings
  • Up-selling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services or special packages, such as tour tickets, travel insurance, or upgraded seats/accommodations.
  • Visiting Agents and holding presentations for the properties as / when proficient and if requested-to.
  • Invoicing all bookings/processing payments and sending confirmation details to customers.
  • Making booking confirmations & issuing vouchers
  • Working with any reservations / booking system if needed
  • Up-dating on-line or other availability charts
  • Reading / understanding / issuing net and rack rates to agents
  • Booking reservations for the client for air, travel, hotel, safari tours and car rentals, and following up with the client when necessary to secure the reservation.
  • Matching the correct product/package with the client.
  • Making reservations for customers based on their various requirements and budgetary allowances.
  • Checking the availability of accommodation or transportation on the customers’ desired travel dates.
  • Helping plan travel itineraries by suggesting local tourist attractions and places of interest.
  • Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Diploma in Tours Management/Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management.
  • Conversant and must have working knowledge with Tour Plan, Res Request, Granit E and Wetu, systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience of being a Reservations Consultant.
  • Must possess good / excellent product knowledge & be able to put together. itineraries / special offers to be advertised & communicated on.
