JOB DETAILS:
The role is responsible to ensure the team deliver on budgeted net sales, gross margin, net profit and the Customer Service Index (CSI) for Ford, Mazda & Suzuki in Kenya, Uganda whilst developing and executing the brand and product strategy for growth in Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania. They will have focus on the entire customer journey enabling the different functions to deliver a first-class customer experience, and maintain a collaborative relationship with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering.
• Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
• This position requires business maturity, excellent judgment and a hands-on entrepreneurial spirit. Successful candidates generally have 15 - 20 years of professional and industry experience with minimum 5 years proven success in a senior management role.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution.
• Street-smart with acute understanding of automotive market dynamics.
• Strong empathy for the customer with insights and understanding of their behaviour. Understanding of market segmentation and product marketing.
• Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
• Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures. Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
• Knowledge of public relations principles and practices. Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques. Proven to be able to identify and secure funding/revenue sources.
• Ideally has GCC experience and has worked for some time in an Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) but mostly with Retail Automotive/Dealership experience.
• Ideally has experience working with an African mass market automotive brand.
