JOB DETAILS:
A Defined Contributions Pension Scheme, duly registered by the Retirements Benefits Authority, responsible for providing pension benefits to its members is situated in Nairobi and is seeking to strengthen its human capital wishes to invite applications from qualified professionals in the following positions:

1. Finance and Accounting Officer
Reporting to the Trust Secretary, the role is responsible for financial management, monitoring, and reporting to support the Scheme in the attainment of its strategic goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
■ Analysis of investment reports and making recommendations to optimize returns
• Calculation and payment of RBA Levy and Corporate Taxes and filing the relevant returns
• Preparing payments for approval
• Timely submission of annual reports and financial statements
• Maintenance of proper books of accounts
• Timely preparation of contributions reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and cashbook
• Preparing the annual budget execution reports, and quarterly financial statements
• Maintenance of Scheme fixed assets register
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Minimum Requirements
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a similar position
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce (Accounting/Finance), Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized University
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)K. ACCA, or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in computer skills/information technology
