POSITION SUMMARY:
Experience3 years

  • Under the direction of the Program Coordinator the Field Officer (FO)will be the site-level coordinator of all interventions in the FO's assigned ward service delivery points on the DREAMS (Determined. Resilient, Empowered. AIDS- free. Mentored and Safe) project. As the site level coordinator. He/she will work closely with all levels of the program staff. lay workers. and project partners and stakeholders within the assigned wards county. The FO will ensure all interventions are implemented per evidence-based guidance and reported per project and donor requirements.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate the implementation of the package of DREAMS interventions within the assigned wards per intervention guidance and directives
  •  Work closely with the Program Coordinator technical coordinators and Monitoring &
  •  Evaluation (M&E) team to other capacity building mentorship and conduct supportive supervision and spot checks while overseeing performance of a team of lay workers supported under the program
  •  Provide overall oversight and supportive supervision of day to day program planning. budgeting. Implementation and reporting achievements in consultation with the Program Coordinator and technical coordinators to ensure reaching intervention targets
  •  Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with County relevant GOK Ministries. CSO's and other relevant local stakeholders within the areas of operation. as applicable
  •  Develop clear monthly work plans based on approved quarterly project work plans with clear objectives deliverables based on targets
  •  Support in training. Coaching and coordinating regular review meetings with intervention specific facilitators. Change
  •  Agent and Mentors while tracking progress against annual targets. and addressing issues raised in the field
  • Working closely with the M&E team provides oversight in data quality audits. Daily update of services and prepare weekly monthly and quarterly ward-level reports based on intervention gap analysis
  •  Submit the required weekly. monthly and quarterly reports per set time lames and ensuring compliance to the M&E team and donor requirements with a focus on quality
  •  Participate in trainings Supervision visits weekly and all project planning and review meetings while maintaining accurate reports to inform next steps
  •  Ensure that AIHA Kenya is compliant with all PEPFARFOGAC reporting requirements for the DREAMS project for MERS DATIM SIMS Special initiatives. Etc.
  •  Liaise with the donor key stakeholders and partners and other implementing partners as needed
  •  Documentation of best practice challenges and success stories
  •  Any other duties as applicable and required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION S:

  •  A Diploma in Social Work Community Development or Counseling Psychology. a Degree in a relevant course from a reputable University will be an added advantage
     At least three years of progressive experience working in a comprehensive HIV’ or GB\-I’ prevention interventions among adolescents and OVC programing
  •  Experience working under the Kenya DREAMs project.
  •  Commitment to understanding and responding to the most urgent needs and rights ofv1.ilnerable adolescents and youth in regard to HIWAIDS and SGB
  •  Familiarity with development child protection social and cultural issues.
  •  Experience with U.S. Government donor compliance and reporting.
  •  Ability to develop and maintain close relationships with various stakeholders.
  •  Ability to work effectively with diverse coworkers and project participants.
  •  Self-starter and strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  •  Must be very dependable and detail oriented.
  •  Effective and diplomatic communicator at all levels.
  •  Personal and professional maturity and judgment.
  •  Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
  •  English and Swahili fluency is essential. Luo fluency will be an added advantage.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word. Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and the Internet.
  •  Must be willing to travel in-country and provide on-side leadership.
  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. set priorities. Work independently and in a team environment.
