Responsibilities
Events Management
1. Actively market KATA events to generate sponsorships and partnerships
2. Liaise with our partners to deliver events in line with KATA brand guidelines
3. Plan, manage and deliver key KATA’s planned events and oversee the Events Calendar as a tool for planning internally
4. Coordinate event planning, including writing event plans, venue booking etc and drive-up participation and engagement.
5. To manage budgets and key objectives associated with running events Marketing,
Publicity, and information
1. Coordinating the KATA branding and communication.
2. Coordinate marketing activities and identify new marketing opportunities.
3. Design marketing materials to promote KATA brand
4. Disseminate marketing materials, both print & digital, to our audiences.
5. To source for digital advertising opportunities for the association through its platforms
6. To represent KATA, attending events such as meetings, events and fairs to promote our activities
7. Others Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Essential skills
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
2. At least four (4) years of experience in a similar role.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Previous experience of delivering marketing and publicity plans across several platforms.
5. Previous experience of events management working with a wide range of people.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Ability to negotiate successfully with potential partners/sponsors
8. Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with partner organisation, businesses, and other stakeholders.
9. Experience of writing copy for websites, newsletters, and press.
10. Expert knowledge of a wide range social media platforms for marketing purposes.
11. Good working knowledge of standard IT programmes including MS Office, photo editing and graphic design packages.
12. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and work to a plan.
13. A good understanding of the travel industry
