JOB DETAILS:
The Reports Manager will support programme sections and the ETF members with providing support to high-quality information products, including situational reports, situation analyses and humanitarian performance reporting. In addition, the position will support the office with the preparation of EVD related donor proposals and reports as well as EVD related communication and other Front Office related tasks, products and activities associated with the emergency response and recovery plan.
Situation reports and donor support
• Coordinate the review/collating of EVD CO situational reports (SitReps) and preparation of the Regional and Global Sitrep.
• Write and edit high-quality emergency sitreps in a timely manner.
• Compile, draft and edit humanitarian appeals and other emergency related donor reports and project proposals.
• Systematically screen and cross-check internal and external reports, sitreps, proposals, information and communication material for accuracy and consistency.
• Works with programme sections, Programme Management, Evaluation and Donor Relations (PMEDR) and senior management to support EVD resource mobilization efforts.
• Provides support to emergency donor requirements and visibility when and where required
• Provides support to UNICEF contributions and visibility on various platforms when and where required
Knowledge management and support to front office
• Develop and coordinate daily and regular highlights for internal distribution.
• Prepare and systematically update information material (Fact Sheets, FAQs, backgrounders, data tables), briefings, and presentations on the situation, in coordination with the Representative, the Ebola Emergency Coordinator, the PMEDR team and the Communication Chief.
• Prepare programmatic presentations, memos, and briefings to be used by the Representative at internal and external briefings and meetings.
• Maintain essential contacts with programme teams and Deputy Representative Office to facilitate timely and accurate information flow.
• Support information gathering and information flow across sections and programmes in the UCO.
• Support to Front Office / Representative if, and when required.
• In consultation with the communication section, work with field staff to get good interest stories for inclusion in the EVD reports
• Make field visits together with communication team to document and report on UNICEF implemented activities.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have
Education-
• Advanced University degree in social sciences, political science, communication, public administration, international relations, business administration or other related disciplines.
Work Experience-
• Eight years of progressively responsible professional work experience at the national and international levels in donor relations, grant management, communication, programme/project development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and administration. Field level experience in emergency response reporting with UNICEF is required.
