Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work or related field from a recognized institution;
• Post- graduate Degree in in Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work or related field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Certificate in a Senior Management Course from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Served for a minimum period of twelve (12) years and currently serving at the grade of Deputy Director, JG R and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service;
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• Possess Leadership skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Ability to work under pressure, Negotiation skills, Ability to build and lead cohesive teams, Problem solving skills;
• Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and integrity.

Job Description
• Responsible for overall Planning, coordinating and administration of programs and activities that promote youth empowerment, capacity building, library services, youth information and recreation activities.
• Coordinating staff performance management, training and development;
• Assigning staff additional responsibilities and tasks where necessary;
• Coordinating the development of guidelines to strengthen linkages and absorption of youth into employment, internship and volunteerism;
• Ensuring budget preparation and procurement plans are done in a timely manner;
• Ensuring adherence to budget timelines and proper implementation of the procurement plan;

• Responsible for office Equipment and Furniture; and
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Officer Youth & Sports
