JOB DETAILS:

Reporting to the Chief of Party USAID AMPATH Uzima and leading a team of Programmers/ Developers the incumbent will among other things lead and oversee the following activities:
Working with the Health Informatics group at AMPATH to design, develop and modify Health applications;
Thrive in a growing digital landscape implementing the next-generation digital health solutions used within and outside Kenya.
Lead a team of software engineers to design and customize features that work with/on java-based OpenMRS (www.openmrs.org) software.
Collaborate with external EMR implementing partners in the OpenMRS community, to work on new solutions such as the OpenMRS 3.0.
Improve software development workflows and pipelines.
Build your skills in and Ensure transition to micro-Frontends and single-page applications.
BuildLng your skills in and helping create a health data analytics framework using modern data engineering tools such as Mysql, Apache Spark and ELK Stack.
Lead the development of the AMRS POC digital health solution
Guide and take ownership of architectural decisions of digital health solutions involving AMRS POC, Kenya EMR 2.0 and OpenMRS 3.0 products
