JOB DETAILS:
B. Department Of Roads, Transport And Public Works

1. Director, Roads, Transport & Public Works, JOB GROUP 3 (1POST)
The Director will be answerable to the Chief Officer County Transport and Public Works and will be responsible for the following tasks:

Duties And Responsibilities
i. Planning, development and supervision of the directorate plans, programs and projects Supporting the development of appropriate Sectoral Policies, Legal and Institutional frameworks.
ii. Assisting the Chief Officer in handling Administrative, Human Resource and asset
management issues.
iii. Preparation of directorate Annual Work Plans and Financial Budgets.
iv. Training Need Assessment, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of the directorate activities and ensure timely reporting. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Officer.

Requirements For Appointment
i. Be a Kenyan Citizen.
ii. Be a Holder of at least a first Degree from a University recognized in Kenya in Structural
Engineering/Civil Engineering/Architecture or a relevant field.
iii. Have a relevant knowledge and experience of not less than ten (10) years in the Public
Service or the Private Sector.
iv. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Devolution, County Development Objectives
and Vision 2030.
V. Be conversant with Policy Formulation and Implementation.
vii. Be a strategic thinker and result oriented. Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership
and Integrity.
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
