Job specifications
Duties and Responsibilities at this level will include but not limited to:
• Formulating, designing and developing programmes and projects for the
• Authority;
• Developing programme related interventions towards environmental
• management;
• Coordinating involvement of donors for support in the course of programme/
• project implementation;
• Overseeing delivery of programmes and projects within the Authority;
• Initiating the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures for coordination of all partners;
• Providing liaison and overseeing the development of relations with NEMA’s funding Partners;
• Identifying and securing new strategic partners;
• Mobilizing resources from external partners.
• Training, Developing, supervising & appraising staff in the department
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
• Master’s degree in any of the following field: Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science; Biochemistry, Natural Science, Community Development, Disaster Management, Project Management or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following field; Environmental Management, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, Environmental Science; Biochemistry, Natural Science, Community Development or any other relevant field from a recognized institution;
• A minimum period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience and at least four (4) Years’ experience in management role in the Public Service or Private Sector;
• Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
• Proficiency in Computer Applications
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
• Ability to mobilize resources from donors will be an added advantage.
• Fulfilled the requirement of chapter six of the Constitution.
