JOB DETAILS:
Kenya Revenue Authority seeks a self-driven and performance oriented individual to fill the position of Deputy Commissioner – Policy and Tax Advisory within the Domestics Taxes Department. Reporting to the Commissioner of Domestic Taxes, the job holder will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of all activities of the Policy and Tax Advisory Division.

Key responsibilities of the job
• Development and implementation of policy and programs that guide the administration of Tax Acts for assessment and exemptions of taxes
• Review existing tax legislations and propose amendments
• Coordinate sector knowledge groups to ensure consistent application of laws, procedures and revenue mobilisation strategies across the Domestic Taxes Department
• Process and validate public education messages in relation to compliance with tax laws and procedures
• Advise the Commissioner of Domestic Taxes all matters relating to Tax Policy administration
• Manage operational aspects of the division that include the attainment of performance targets, administration and organisation of staff in the Division

Professional qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Revenue Administration will be an added advantage
• At least ten years work experience, with five being at management level
