Job details:
The Nation Media Group has presence in East and Central Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital media. We are seeking to recruit for the position of Debt Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely collection of company debt;
• Maintain accurate and updated customers’ statements of accounts through regular reconciliations;
• Credit appraisal of customers;
• Work with the commercial team, legal office and external debt collectors for recovery of debt
• Production and distribution of debtors management reports on a timely basis.
• Handling client queries and responding on time while ensuring customer satisfaction;
• Convene and chair regular debt collection meetings;
• Supervise debt collectors and debt executives;
• Improvement and automation of debt management processes.

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

• Business related degree and CPA [K] or equivalent qualification;
• At least 5 years of debt management experience;
• Proven track record of debt collection;
• A strong network across all business sectors;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Good negotiation skills;
• Ability to meet strict deadlines;
• ERP experience.
